I was here post-surgery as I had severe pain. The staff were amazing, very friendly and helpful, they quickly cater to your needs. I had severe pain and the nurse was quick to help me to a bed, organise pain killers. The doctor that saw me, Dr Edmund Kang was amazing. He was very knowledgeable, kind and empathetic. He understood the procedure I had, and quickly organised a plan with a urological surgeon. He then went out of his way to write a referral and ensure I could get an appointment within the following week.Highly recommend!

Went to Greenslopes emergency. Cannot fault staff. They were delightful and if I could give them 100 star rating I would. Thank you. So thorough and kind.

I am not sure why the reviews are so low. I work there so i know how busy the hospital is. Everyone was so kind and no matter how their day was always greeted me with a smile and respect. Dr Bennett was amazing took his time explaining my condition and my fellow sisters were a god sent.Being rushed with covid patients on top of the already busy workload I thank each and everyone of you for taking care of me. You should be paid more and appreciated often.❤

After an awful experience at another public hospital where I was sent home still in agony because they were too busy and couldn’t do the required imaging, I presented to Greenslopes Private Emergency in hope of better treatment and they were nothing short of amazing! Staff were friendly and efficient, I was seen and triaged very quickly, assessed by a doctor and provided pain relief within half an hour and ultimately admitted to Greenslopes Private Hospital for surgery. I don’t have a huge amount of experience with hospitals but I wouldn’t not hesitate to recommended Greenslopes Private Emergency if you have an acute emergency that requires treatment quickly.

Emergency visit for my boyfriend, took far too long to be seen by a doctor and get any fluids or pain meds. A nurse asked me to remove some form of cap before attaching a tube to the cannula. I had to frequently follow up on things to get anything done, including when he was dripping blood as the cannula wasn’t seated correctly. I worry for those who do not have someone to advocate for their needs. Will not be going back, particularly as it is a paid service.

I took my mum to Emergency with a severe blood nose (after multiple blood noses over 48 hours) we went through after 8pm (which we were then told no scans, or specialists will be available until the following day), the emergency doctor eventually came in to see her, didnt examine her nose, didn't look up her nose to see any bleeding... just said she was happy for us to leave as the bleeding had stopped. Two weeks later, she went and saw an ENT and has since found out that she's had a severe staph infection, and is now on the appropriate medications and treatment plan for it. To think that if she had been examined properly, she could have been on a strong dose of antibiotics TWO WEEKS AGO.DO NOT go to this emergency dept if you think there may be a possibly of you having to get scans, or have a serious illness / emergency after hours. You're better off going to the Mater, or Princess Alexandra Hospital. Completely useless as an Emergency" dept. I thought the after hours home doctors were meh.... the only difference is that you have to pay $250.00 for the privilege."

These guys have their act together. If you can afford to pay for the privilege and you have a serious issue, I can't recommend GPH emergency enough. They have been looking after the low points of my family for the better part of the last 15 years. They have all the people, all the gear and specialist support as needed.

Not a good one unfortunately - patient was my daughter and she had her less than 3 mths old baby with her at my home - she had been vomiting for several hours and was very dehydrated as couldn't even keep water down. Her husband was at home in bed with similar issues to her and thus was out of action. I drove daughter and baby to the hospital because the ambulance process didn't work - we were at the hospital for a few hours. My daughter was very weak and very worried about not being able to look after her baby - had managed to breast feed a bit before we got to the hospital but couldn't again - she has to top up with formula even when not ill. The nursing staff were not remotely interested in the baby, who they saw as my problem. I was trying to sort out getting some food and wipes etc for the baby (we had accidentally left the wipes at my place). After arguing and having the Team Leader refuse to talk to me and say she would talk to my daughter about what to do re the baby (my daughter had just been given medication which we had been warned would make her sleepy and relatively non-compos) my daughter became even more distressed - eventually the nurse (not the Team Leader) agreed I could go and get some food for the baby and the hospital would look after the baby (as well as his mother) while I did that. But what a nightmare. I plan to make a formal complaint about the Team Leader - she was rude, and it was totally inappropriate to put more stress on my daughter who had just been given medication and was already very anxious. At least the nurse looking after my daughter was not like the Team Leader - clearly the Team Leader could learn something from her.
