I am a long term visitor to The Clock but not any more. Similar to other comments, the drink prices are ridiculous. 2 schooners of beer are over $20. My main issue however was the meals. The hotel has shifted the menu to a French vibe which is totally cool and very popular in the city at the moment. I ordered the Cordon Bleu. It’s a basic meal. You get a chicken breast, cut it in the middle, stuff it with cheese, ham and a little garlic and cook it. What I got was a chicken schnitzel with a slice of ham and cheese done under the griller - after the schnitzel was deep fried. So I got a burnt chicken toastie that hurt your mouth to chew it. My partner had the steak frites and in all fairness said it was good. This pub has lost its way. I am sure it will get back on track however in the meantime there are dozens of great venues within a short walk.

Look the manager is a legend... most of the staff are heaps nice. Last time I was here to play pool they went to every length to find chalk for the sticks and or new tips for them.. but the table is absolutely cooked and almost unplayable. Came again today and they have replaced the cue tips and gotten chalk so happy days. Unfortunately I invited friends here this time and they were charged $13.70 for a watery house gin and soda (Bombay sapphire) and are absolutely incredulous and are blaming me for bringing them here. Won't be coming back until the pool table is fixed

What ever you do, don’t go here if you’re expecting good timely service and edible food. Waited an hour and a half for charcoal French toast and nothing else from what we ordered…

Pub was open 10am, sharp. Not overly packed at 10am. Tables had barcodes so no need to go to the bar for food OR drinks. Menu is very simple so easy quick decisions to be made - no agonising. Food was pretty much identical to the photos. I had the smashed avo for $10 only! Price was brilliant. Goats cheese was abundant as was the avo. Upstairs barman gave the best service I’ve had in a long time, especially considering he was the only one on and the place was swamped! Absolute legend! Also, view is amazing and lots of furriboiis walking past - such cute!

3.6 - Came here with a huge group. We expected pub food but did notice that it was French themed. Friendly service and food took awhile to come but that was fine as we were all chatting away. Friend didn't like her Croque Madam (and gave up after 3 bites) and I found my duck in the Confit duck salad quite dry but the bed of salad was ok. Forgot to ask about the Burger. It gets quite rowdy and crowded later in the nights, but no early dinners because the kitchen does close. Atmosphere ok! Service ok! Food not so great. It's unique for a pub to serve French food so give it a try and see how you feel.

Just your average experience. The inside of the place is nice, but honestly it's nothing out of the extraordinary. Food is priced above average but the quality cost match the cost.Their options on tap are nice, but you're better off at a smaller pub with better service, it's kinda hard to get your order.I'd give a pass to this one, the location is great but that's just it

Great for a night out or drinks but the food is rubbish. Cool balcony and garden at the back. Food is pretty expensive and i got the burger which is probably the worst i've had in Sydney. Service was good and fast though.

Great truffle fries and tasty mussels. Good portion sizes and the staff are friendly. I’ve been here a few times for dinner and like that they have a mobile ordering app which makes it easy to order food and drinks without needing to queue, although, the mobile ordering system was not working correctly the most recent time we were there.

Classic pub experience with a brown woodgrain 70s - 80s theme to it. Good range of beers on tap with friendly service and a trendy outdoor garden as well.Unfortunately I can't recommend the food here. I ordered a steak and requested it be cooked well done" - the steak served to me was still bleeding and dark red inside. I ended up leaving it on the plate and departing the venue hungry."

Celebrated my birthday recently at the clock. Reserved an area which was super easy to organise. Quick response from the team too. We were in the courtyard area and the bar tender was great! Both managers were also super welcoming and friendly! Only thing missing later in the night was upbeat music, as we were away from the DJ’s. Overall great experience and highly recommend The clock :)
