Bare Chested Chef

Don't hesitate to book these guys, they are superb!! Incredible food, and with impeccable service to match, will be certainly booking again. We went with the full banquet, and each course was incredible, the short-rib and chicken melted in the mouth, the ice cream dessert bar was ridiculously good. Variety was just right for everyone to enjoy!

I had Matt cater a special dinner for myself and nine guests last night and it was absolutely amazing. The food was exceptional and he was so professional. He showed up and found his way around our kitchen, cooked and cleaned up after himself and my guests all raved about how fantastic the food was. The per head cost was great value given the quality of the food was up there with the best we've had in Newcastle and we got to enjoy it in the comfort of our home without a 200% mark up on the wine! I am already looking for another excuse to book the Bare Chested Chef and would happily recommend them to anyone.

A big thanks to Matthew and Megan for a magnificent job at my wife’s party last Saturday night. We had a 30th Birthday over the weekend and the team at Bare Chested Chef catered for us. George came in and had the kitchen humming along - super clean after every course. The food was lovely and made for a wonderful day.Big thanks to the team for ensuring the event was fantastic!

We would highly recommend the Bare Chested Chef. Recently, we hosted a birthday celebration at our home for 8 people. The communication between myself and the Bare Chested Chef owner, leading up to the party was excellent. The service was very organised and timely with the kitchen being left spotless afterwards. We didn't have to lift a finger. Each time a course was served, our chef gave us a beautiful description of what we were about to devour. All of our group, bar the one vegetarian, singled out the beef rib as the most amazing part of our meal. The rock lobster entree was also a highlight. Our vegetarian guest was also catered for beautifully and she enjoyed each course. Our chef, George was super friendly and easy to chat to. He also went above and beyond and taught our curious son about dry ice and its effects on fresh food, using fresh raspberries as an example.It was a fantastic experience in the comfort of our own home, we will definitely use the Bare Chested Chef again.

Matthew and George catered for us - a private function of over 45 guests - and all the guests commented how creative and delicious the canapes and finger foods were, the quality was on par with fine dining restaurant. The service was impeccable, they were very attentive to some of the guests special dietary needs and they even cleant behind themselves before leaving the party. We absolutely recommend The Bare Chested Chef and will definitely use them in the future.

I had Matthew and George cater for my Australia Day function this year and I cannot recommend them highly enough. They are the most professional business I have ever dealt with. If they said they would phone or email at a certain time then true to their word they did. The food was amazing and many of my guests said it was the best food they had ever had. They were totally professional and just got in and found everything in my kitchen themselves without bothering me once throughout the function.When they finished my house was immaculate. The integrity of this business is outstanding as I received a text from Matthew after they left to advise me they had over catered and had left around 2 kilos of lamb in my freezer for me to use. They could have taken that with them and used it at another function as I would not have been aware, but they didn't. I would certainly recommend them to anyone as I could not fault them and I look forward to using them again many more times in the future.

I didn’t know what to expect when I searched the internet for a caterer for a milestone birthday party for my partner.I was dubious and concerned that it may have been a scam… after all I had to pay 50% a week out and the balance a day or so before the event.So around about 5 minutes before Matthew was expected I thought… “hmmm I wonder if I’ve been ripped off”… but then absolutely on time, Matthew arrived in his shining white van and commenced to put on the most incredible catering I’ve witnessed… and I’ve been involved in the food and bev industry for 25 years….The food was superb, the attitude was simply wonderful and the entire event classy!So much food at such top quality with absolutely zero fuss!!!!So fear not about the Bare Chested Chef!You will have an absolutely wonderful experience….
