Johnny’s Green Room
This is an amazing place for a catchup with friends. Lots of choices of cocktails. My friend and I ordered burgers which were fresh and yummy. Staff at the bar are friendly and helpful.

A great place to go after dinner on Lygon st. Catch the lift or the stairs to the rooftop and enjoy great views looking back to the city. Be aware, this is Melbourne and if the wind is coming from the South it can be cool so bring a jacket. There was a great vibe with people enjoying cocktails and beers at the bar or at one of the many tables. The wine list could be improved as there is a limited selection. The service was friendly although over run with cocktail orders. We didn’t eat however the pizzas looked good. A definite place to visit if you are local or visiting.

Ordered the chicken burger and pizza bomb.Chicken burger was nice, standard. Came with a side of friesPizza bombs were literally just pizza dough balls, with olive oil drizzled on top.Overall nice place for a drink and conversation, good views and comfy couches.

Very nice rooftop bar with a great view of the city buildings and nice lighting. The cocktails are a little pricey though.

Staff are friendly, the view is great, the atmosphere is either young hips or mature legs. Regardless the weather was windy but heaters available and they have autumn beer on tap. It’s secluded in an open roof top way, thank you for your hospitality!

Johnny’s Green Room
I stumbled on this bar by chance and was so glad I found it. We were after a quick bite to eat and a few drinks and although I found the food to be good, there is definitely better pizza on lygon street. But your not coming here for the food, your here for the amazing cocktails, great atmosphere and incredible view of the city. A great place to stop by for a drink after a date night on lygon street.

Came here for lunch, appreciate them letting us bring food up in takeaway boxes from downstairs. When I was here, a rainbow stretched across the sky which left us with a view of Melbourne which was truly hard to beat. The songs were apt and enhanced the mellow vibe the place has to offer. If you’re on Lygon and confused among all the bars then definitely go for this one.

Attended a birthday get together on a warm, but windy Sunday afternoon. We had a section of the roof top reserved, which provided seating and market umbrellas, which were buffeted by the wind and had to be folded down. Finger food was provided. Shame that it was somewhat sporadic. When we arrived there were some smoked salmon and cream cheese rounds of toast (bit soggy) and little savoury tarts. Then arancini and some calamari (oily). Then nothing for quite awhile. Then came mini burgers but by then quite a few of the 50 guests had left. Desserts were chocolate and pear tartlets which were yummy. Drinks were free flowing, and the 'birthday boy' paid for an open bar, which was very generous. My sister asked for the music to be turned down for 5 minutes so a speech for my brother-in-law's 60th birthday could be made. She was told 'NO'. It does seem incredible that such a small request for a special occasion, by a paying customer, (for 50 guests) could not be met. Music was not great anyway, and speeches would have entertained not only the 50 guests, but the few others who were not part of our group.Apart from that, the roof top is pleasant, but could be further enhanced by weeding the garden beds, watering the plants, and dusting and cleaning the padded seats.

Johnny's Green Room is a cool place to go for lunch or casual hangout which is located on the rooftop of King & Godfree on Lygon st.Catch the lift to the rooftop and enjoy great views looking back to the city.Food here is ok, but their Cocktails and drinks here are done well, their Lemonchello is top notch!Great vibes on the rooftop, it is not too busy today. I would go here for drinks as the main priority, food as the secondary.

First time being here and it’s a great rooftop bar! Didn’t realise how big it is - their menu and branding is on point and loved their chilli take over - highly recommend the oysters, prawns and burrata. Great cocktails too!
