I cannot express enough how awesome of a teacher Max is. I'm one of those shy people who thought I was absolutely hopeless at singing; however, Max was very patient and understanding. He encouraged me in a way that didn't make me feel pressured, and I have learned so much from him so far. I sought out vocal lessons from Max to help boost my confidence in singing whilst playing guitar. It wasn't long before Max's tuition made me feel significantly more comfortable when using my voice.Max does a great job of making difficult concepts simple and allowing you feel at ease with what is very personal instrument.Looking forward to even more lessons!

Max is a stellar teacher. I couldn’t recommend him highly enough. There has been so much progress since my first lesson over a year ago. He has an extensive understanding and knowledge of music and always knows exactly which exercises to apply to strengthen an area of my voice. Sometimes we experiement and see what happens and results can be so surprising. He has brought out an ability in my voice I never knew I had.His passion and talent for music is clear and he is an honest and patient teacher as well as an all round fantastic and admirable person.The studio is warm, peaceful and a relaxed environment - a delight to be there warming up my vocal cords when it’s cold and rainy outside. I also really appreciate that the lessons are recorded so that I can look back on them in my own time for home practise.Each lesson is very fun and energetic. I am always enjoying pushing myself to the fullest. Never once have I felt anxious and this is coming from a shy person who finds it challenging to open up. Instead I am walking home still singing after each lesson. Again, I don’t have the words for all the great things about Max. I am really looking forward to lots more lessons with him in the future and seeing what happens.

I have been training with Max weekly for a couple of months and I am over the moon at the rate in which my singing voice has developed. His approach is exceptional and direct with very friendly and supportive delivery. From the first two sessions I learnt more about projection, clarity and technique than I ever had with previous vocal coaches abroad. Max is definitely a current and powerful singing teacher of this time. Thank you Max!! I highly recommend him.

Doing lessons at Noakes music has been the best decision I’ve made. Max is such a great teacher and has guided me and helped me so much. I came to Max not being able to sing in pitch and I now know how to sing in my chest voice going into my head voice while singing in pitch, never thought I would be able to do that but with the help from Max I have been able too. Been wonderful doing lessons and I’m sure I’ll be back for some more down the track!!

Maxwell is an easy-going, approachable, engaging, attentive and all-round fantastic teacher whose approach to helping students find their voice and the tools to use it is really incredible and life-changing! Would highly recommend to prospective students of any background or skill level, as Max’s kindhearted nature and passion and dedication to the craft are really inspirational and helpful!

Max is an exceptional teacher! My 11 year old son loves his weekly singing lessons. Max is very professional and yet a lot of fun. My son recently received a music scholarship to a great school and I know it’s because he was able to bring out the best in him. Thank you so much Max!

i have been working professionally as a solo artist for many years i found that as i got older i felt i had a problem with breath control and found it difficult to sing some songs even with a key change after only a few weeks with Max he found the problem and now i am able to the songs again in the original key and sounding even better than before i found max extremely knowledgeable and a great teacher and would recommend him to the most experienced musicians

Max has been tutoring my son aged 12 for past 9 months. He is a fantastic teacher. My son loves his lessons, they chose contemporary songs that suit his voice, his singing and confidence have improved out of sight. Thanks max!
