H&R Block Tax Accountants - Oakleigh

I am doing the general tax return, and the tax accountant are not really prepared well nor they are professional in this area.For example, I mentioned in my booking, can you please share anything worth notice in regarding of this year's change of policy. No reply from this branch.Then I asked the same question during tax return, the tax accountant mentioned: We are not able to see the notes you wrote in the booking. (So what's wrong with your system in the first place). And it will take me too long to explain, where shall I start, and then bluff me with 1-2 sentence policy that is from the checklist and then ask me to continue with tax return.Why do I need to use your service if I can read through all the rules and regulations from government website.Be noted everyone, this company's tax checklist did not mention anything about new updated policies, especially about home office.I only remembered last year I saw from news about new home office policies so I did a double check and managed to get an update of the new home office policy.If I did not check, I will lose nearly 500-600 dollars in tax return, it is just a pain to work with accountant who do not wish to tell you all the information.I guess they have really reached the Pinnacle of You get what you paid" idiomThey charge me almost 180 dollars too with half an hour talking with all the information I provided (I provided a word document for them to easily copy paste

Hopeless. Avoid.They can't even handle a few simple tax returns. They lost my initial appointment, using the excuse that the booking system was down. Then took hours for them to complete the very tax simple returns, then almost a week to upload them to their internal portal for me to electronically sign. Once digitally signed they just need to submit to the ATO. A month later and they still hadn't. Their communication is almost non existent. I had to constantly chase up and if I manage to get through to someone, I was told someone would call me back. Which only happened about 20% of the time. I just had excuse after excuse (e.g. new computer system, we submitted to regional office and it's with them, we're busy, don't have permissions to submit, etc.).This year I used ITP and was done and submitted to the ATO within 30 minutes. And my tax return is three times more than I got from using H & R bock.

I've been going to H&R Block Oakleigh for several years now and have always received fast, excellent service from them at a far lower cost than a private accounting firm.I just had my tax return done by Serena and she was friendly and incredibly efficient, completing and lodging my return in under an hour.Top marks.

Very helpful. Great to get a phone call reminding me not to forget to come in and do my tax. Really easy to book in and great service on the day.

Very unprofessional and terrible service. We had a meeting with one of the consultants there, had another woman butting in and shouting across our private information every 2 minutes saying we cant do this and we cant do that.... they did not bother to file our return (standard end of year return) and when chased them up via email and phone, just ignored. It was laughable. Oakleigh HR block worst one in australia.

The service overall is good , people is friendly but it doesn’t matter as they seem not to be very experience in their field. I had something for my business that should be claimed but they said it wasn’t . I went to another account firm they confirmed that the expense can be claimed and actually the call the ATO to confirm this and it was confirm. I call them to asked to make the amendment and they don’t even could answer my email. I am so upset . I won’t never again worked with them again .

I left three messages for these guys and asked them to call me, Its now two weeks since my first message. If they do their tax returns the same way they do their Customer service - you are in BIG trouble. They have lost my business and I will be telling others to go elsewhere.

Excellent services with reasonable price (service fee). Not only have been the company’ members friendly but also were quick response, fast and well done the job appropriately. To me, I have been more than satisfied.
