Cumberland Falls
Good for easy days, Suitable for people who do not like a lot of challenges. Easy to walk, quiet and less crowded.

Hike up to the falls was probably more scenic than the little waterfall at the end but still worth the hike. Might be even better in winter after heavy rains.

Cumberland Falls
Very small more like cascade not a waterfall but has a pool in front of it. The walk to falls is within more beautiful river valleys in the Otways with dramatic cliffs, and peaceful pools to cool down in summer. It is an easy walk to Jebb’s Pool but beyond to Cumberland Falls there are numerous river crossings and some scrambling over rocks.
From Cumberland River Return is 6km return about 3 hours as it is a bit strenuous
Several low river crossings on the Cumberland River should not be attempted at high river levels as it is slippery when wet.

Feeling lucky! When we arrived, we were welcomed by 2 black cats for few secs (apparently we disturbed their nap time). And what best, it was only us there -feels like VIP-Then, there was a hungaroo (hungry kangaroo) looking at us when we walked pass. The falls just 15 mins easy walk, suitable for not so adventurous people -like us-.We spent approximately 30 mins in total to enjoy this place.Highly recommended to go when it's sunny or when the surface is dry otherwise it will be very difficult to reach to the top.Note: this review is for Cumberland Falls not Sheoak Falls. Sheoak Falls is a little more challenging.

Stunning surroundings, but the walk is a little tricky with all the rocks and having to cross the river about 3 times to get to the waterfall. Also there were swarms of little bugs that I had to walk through, so need a face covering to not have yourself a bug lunch (Dec 2020). Also need proper walking shoes with grip! The waterfall itself is small, and the area to swim in is full of big rocks. Jedds Pool is a much more beautiful spot to stop at, especially for a swim.
