Took my 77 Torana to Garry after he was recommended to me. I have previously struggled to find mechanics with a sound understanding of these older vehicles. However, Garry's knowledge of my older vehicle was exceptional.

I have been taking my car to Gary's for about 15 years. I used to only have to drive 100 meters from my workplace to his workshop. Now I commute from St Kilda, dropping my car in the day prior. This entails a long 2 way trip on public transport. People ask why I don't just get my car serviced locally and save myself unnecessary hassle. For me, a mechanic is like a dentist or doctor. Once you find a good one who is knowledgeable, skillful and honest, the commutes become time and effort well spent. Gary lives and breathes cars. He merges his knowledge with computer technology to diagnose faults. He thoroughly explains what needs to be done as well as what has been done. He is an excellent mechanic.

Garry is an absolute legend and super genuine!! Really helpful and explained everything clearly. Reasonable and very fair price, I will be visiting Garry again.(Also good with older cars)

Gary was wonderful and kindly explained to me in 'dummy 101 terms' what was going on with my car. He gave me estimated costs in advance and phoned to discuss if there was a difference to original quote. An all- round good bloke.

We got only good experiences with G.P. Automotive. Gary inspected our car before we bought it and was really helpful. When we have problems we always can give him a call. Would go to his place every time again!
