Island View Motel - Cool, Quiet, Stunning Views.

Great little overnight stay for me. Reception was helpful. The location was quiet. The view was great. The rooms a nice size and it was clean.

Excellent customer service! I had a hectic schedule and was phoned by Island View to ensure about my weekend stay. I just forgot about my hotel upon arrival in Townsville. My flight was delayed so I arrived midnight but I didn’t have to worry with my accommodation thanks to the kind attention from the staff earlier in a weekend day! So tired and worn out from my trip but was greeted with a nice cozy bedroom and clean shower. Grateful!

Room 10..worst room.NO l AIRCONDIONER it was set to some cycle and started to cool at 2am..the people next to us complained of this also.. NO WIF NO RECEPTION AFTER 5pm to help us rectifyNo smart TV & No chanels worked. No cutlery or plates and even though they charged a family room We only got 2 mugs in the room. No microwave.The Parking floods & we had a down pipe set up to drain over the walkway.. unsafe I thought. Bins collected at 6am very load The dogs onsite are off leash and unfriendly. NO CONFIRMATION EMAIL TO MY PHONE BOOKING. NO INSTRUCTIONS ON AIRCON OR TV.LOVELY RECEPTION and the POOL WORKED so did the view from reception.The garden rooms d ont have any views, pay the extra for the view & check that WIFI & Aircondioner work before booking.I would not use this as overnight stop, too many things didntbwork and for one night not worth it.

Fantastic place to stay.The people are lovely and very helpful.The views are spectacular and the pool is great.Highly recommend

Honestly couldn't of been happier with our stay. We rang late afternoon after our camping trip had the weather beat us. Chris and Lucy were so welcoming, there vibe and energy was just what we needed. Even better our little furbaby was welcomed to!The room was perfect and the view even better! It had everything we needed, aircon was lovely and the pool was just perfect. Chris was even happy to take the time to talk to us about the local attractions and must do's, for a tourist this is a huge plus!A big Thank you to you both of you plus Jack and Jill for running such a beautiful, down to earth Motel!I encourage anyone who is reading this and thinking about staying to do so you won't regret it :)

I got a standard room for a night. Lovely and clean! The lady on check in was friendly. Short walk to the pool and to a beautiful view of the ocean. There's a deck next to reception to sit and look out at the sea. Free and easy parking. It was also very quiet.

Nice friendly staff, gorgeous views for a competitive price. Bonus points for the bar being open!!

My stay at the Island View Motel was fantastic, Breakfast was simple yet delicious and Chris {owner}, always accomadating great for a chat. The rooms are very clean and comfortable. Well worth the Stay! Thanks Chris.

Our room was spotlessly clean. Owners can't do enough to help. Our little dog was welcomed. Sparkling pool. We have used this motel before and will definitely be using it again in the future. Thanks for a wonderful experience.

I booked 2 nights recently on my way home to Cairns from Brisbane, I wasn’t expecting much but I liked the name and booked an Island view room for the view obviously. Arrived at 6pm and was blown away by the view. The owners are friendly and helpful, the rooms are clean and what they advertise and the views are stunning as stated. I stayed an extra night just to see another sunset and sunrise. Highly recommend for the price, I will return.
