Coral Sea Dreaming Dive and Sail

Coral Sea Dreaming really offers a unique experience on the reef. You get an overnight stay on the boat. A chance to dive 4-5 times, one of which is a night dive. Intro dives are available for new divers who aren’t certified. This is what I did with my daughter. I haven’t dove in 25 years and she had never scuba dives before. The instructors do an amazing job of making sure your experience is safe and enjoyable. If it wasn’t for Coral Sea Dreaming we would not have been able to experience the reef up close and personal the way we did. Great experience.

A fantastic trip away on the reef, it felt like a week away!This was my second trip in 2 years, its so good!! The crew really made it great. Very friendly and helpful. They work hard to make the trip enjoyable. The diving instructors both times(fantastic). I saw turtles, clown fish, beautiful coral and much much more. The food was great and generous and I just loved the gentle rocking of the yacht as I slept, amazing to sleep on the reef overnight. I highly recommend this well run adventure.Craig from Melbourne.

Great experience with Coral Sea Dreaming at the Great Barrier Reef!It was my first dive ever and I did five, including an amazing night one, accompanied with my instructor Anna who is a great teacher so I learned quick. I need to pass my PADI now :)Snorkeling is also great as we see from a different perspective.The crew is nice, helpful and the food was very good.The only remark I would have is regarding the lack of information about the reef, its history and the care we need to have for its protection.Thank you very much for this incredible 2 days and 1 night trip!

What an awesome trip, highly recommended! My family of 2 adults and 3 teens, just got back from a two day diving trip on Coral Sea Dreaming. The crew was fantastic, super chill, but very professional. Having only 12 passengers with 3 crew made for a relaxed vibe. The food was great and the diving/snorkeling was sensational (don’t skip the epic night dive!). Both the certified and non-certified divers had an awesome time. I definitely recommend booking Coral Sea Dreaming for your trip to the Reef.

I could not recommend Coral Sea Dreaming highly enough if you want a two day diving trip on the Barrier Reef. Aaron, Vanessa and Luis were a fantastic crew and went out of their way to make the trip special for us. They were super friendly, knowledgeable about the sea and wildlife and really helped us to get the most out of the two days.Being aboard a smaller boat means you get to know the crew and guests better, and don't have the sort of noisy, unconnected to nature experience you may get on other boats. She is the perfect base to explore the reef, and through the careful selection of spots we could 5 brilliant dives where we were the only people in the water. Rays, sharks, turtles and plenty of fish were at every site we went to.The accommodation is cosy but not cramped for a boat of its size. You are on a sailboat after all, so if you're looking for 5* hotel luxury this is not the place for you. The shower was better than some hotels I've stayed in, and even at 6 foot I could fit under it! Food was a good (with very generous portion sizes), and there was always a tea of coffee to hand if you asked.I have already told a load of my friends this is the trip to do if you're in Cairns, and encourage you to book on if you want an intimate, quiet and relaxing diving experience on the Great Barrier Reef. You won't regret it!

We just had an amazing weekend, the crew members were really nice, I had a great time chatting with them. I feel like like I spent all my time in the water between diving and snorkeling sessions and I loved every minute of it, especially my first night dive. Also loved the boat and hammock!Would recommend 100%!Eloïse

Just had an amazing two days with Coral Sea Dreaming on their overnight outer reef tour. The guides were phenomenal, so friendly and extremely helpful. There were only eight guests on board which made for a very private experience. My husband and I even got our own room with a full size bed to ourselves, as did the other couples on our trip. It was so nice to move around the reef and see different areas - didn’t realize how much more you get to see when you do an overnight, so would highly recommend that to anyone considering just a day trip - the overnight is 100% worth it! Also a great place for beginner scuba divers, as you can do an unlimited number of intro drives, and snorkel whenever you don’t wish to dive. You can even do a night dive which is rare without your scuba certification. I snorkeled the whole time and my husband ended up doing four intro dives, including the night dive, and loved it. You’re with an instructor the whole time and it’s like having your own private diving coach with you. It was great snorkeling with just our group rather than with hundreds of strangers clogging up the reef like on bigger boats. It felt like it was just us and the fish! Speaking of, we saw many sharks at night which was very cool! Could even see them from the boat deck(snorkelers do not go in the water for the night dive). The boat is a (relatively) small sailboat, so we definitely had a rough/rocky ride and a rocky night of sleep, but everyone had sea sickness pills and we all did fine with some caffeine the next morning (even myself, who normally is horribly seasick - take the pills!!). We were treated like royalty with how much food was served, and it was all delicious. Great vegan options too at every meal. We were sad to leave! Thanks Coral Sea team for a great experience!

Couldn't recommend this charter enough, the team (Jan, Scott and Bear) were right on point. Chilled and totally skilled and knew their jobs well. The wind was up and it was a bit rough but the sail back to Cairns was a lot of fun! The reef is amazing the these guys add to the experience. Thanks for the Vege options Scott!!

We (a family of four, kids 12 and 9) returned yesterday from an overnight trip with Coral Sea Dreaming. It was excellent and in great contrast to the very poor customer service we received 2 years ago from another company, Diver’s Den. Amazing dive locations. Aaron was a chilled out skipper who was in full control, even carefully manoeuvring the boat at night to stay well clear of the reef. Vanessa was an excellent dive master/guide. Daniel was a great help generally, especially with the children. Excellent food too. We will be back!

This is a great way to see the reef. The crew are fantastic with all ages and experience levels. They made us feel very welcome and made the trip even more memorable. We really appreciated the efforts they made to help our boys (all under age 10) have fun. The food offered was great. We were blessed with fabulous weather. And the sections of reef we went to were phenomenal. We had the places we visited all to ourselves which made it so nice. We explored at our own pace and saw so much including sharks, dolphins, and turtles. Highly recommend this tour.
