We came across the Pause Express restaurant during a stroll thru Samford and thought we would try the Pizza’s out.Looking at the menu i was quite excited and my expectations was high. I am sorry to say that it didn't last long .We ordered from the Gourmet range - At $23 a pizza we thought it would surely beat a Domino’s pizza.The pizza’s was lacking filling, literally 5 pices of meat - (a pizza has 6 slices) it was lacking taste, the base is chewy and cant say it impressed me at all and would certainly not recommend or revisit.

Very disappointed with the pizza bases being under cooked and a lack of toppings. For what we got I’d consider it over priced.service on the bottom end of average.

About a year ago the pizzas here were pretty good. A bit over priced but good. The last two times we ordered here they have been abysmal. First bad batch we thought maybe off night or something give it another try. Second time we received 2 out of 3 pizzas so completely burnt they were completely inedible. We contacted pause who we have always been patrons of to set things right. They offered 25% off our next order. So we basically had to put 50$ in the trash but that’s ok because you get 6.50$ back next time. I don’t think I will take that offer Pause

Ordered the chilli prawn and pestoAbsolute rubbish $29 for eight tiny prawns with no chilli at all.The pesto was not goodMozzarella what bloody mozzarella none at all.The filling was in the middle and dry all around the edgeThe best this was sun dried tomatoes which were also very sparse.We are long time fans of PauseWe thought we’d try the pizzasNever againWhat a rip off

Sadly disappointed with our first order tonight. I was really looking forward to our lamb pizza & garlic bread.Absolutely minimal filling , focused more in the middle leaving 2 inches of plain dough. And on one slice only I managed to taste the caramelised onion. Lucky I’m just a visitor.
