Best food I've ever eaten. I was pretty hungry though. Roast pumpkin dish was so good, a dish I'll remember forever. Was booked out and we didn't have a table booked, but nothing was a problem for staff. Made us feel very welcome and the vibe was amazing. Had a really great experience.

Excellent all around. Better than places in Melbourne.Ranking of dishes we ate:1. Lamb shoulder (the sauces!)2. Sweet potato side3. Charcuterie sampler4. Ceviche5. Asparagus sidePisco sour was also delish

Wow what a feast! Our party of 7 shared the set menu and everything was delicious! The chicken was amazing! The band was excellent also. Had the best night, highly recommend!

Great place. Great vibes too, since we got to see a live band on Sunday night.Fantastic desserts. So good we had to come again to try them all.Good authentic South American dishes. There wasn’t so much fish in the ceviche and too much garlic but the experience overall was excellent.The host Jorge is super accommodating!

Came across this place by complete accident. With no where else to go and every other kitchen on the Mount Joy strip, we took a shot and we were pleasantly surprised. An amazing and diverse range of Central and South American foods cooked with a but of modern Aussie flair! If you find yourself in Lorne and are over the typical beachside fish and chips, then Mestizo is your kind of place

Food is nice and healthy. Place is clean. Staff can be moody and noisy like seagulls. Good location when you are traveling to Twelve Apostols.

Very very noisy. Conversation was virtually impossible. Ambience was missing.We were a group of 8 so had to have the fixed menu. The table was just too narrow to fit the plates so we had to pile them beside us on the seriously uncomfortable bench seats.The beef was tough as boots, chicken was nice, fish salad acceptable, cos salad yummy but only 2 leaves each, lamb nice and tender.The wait staff tried very hard but this restaurant is going to seriously struggle in the summer with the noise and poor quality and presentation of food.Wine selection was ok.
