Best art supplies in Melbourne! St Kilda Art Supplies is my first point of call if I need to know anything about making art. The staff have an encyclopedic knowledge of equipment and materials and are always happy to share their knowledge with beginners all the way through to serious professionals. Their stretching service is second to none. If you are after cheap and nasty go elsewhere, but if you are a discerning professional or are looking for quality then this is the store for you.

Staff were friendly and gave us fantastic options for framing a special piece of art work. The work was completed within the week and we were called to pick it up when it was suitable to us. St Kilda Art Supplies Prahran has provided me with large and small size canvases ready made as well as large linen/canvas made to size; as well as advice on brushes, paints, types of linen and canvases. I have always found Fiona,s attitude professional and friendly; very experienced due to her own background studying at Victorian College of the Arts and RMIT, as well as her experience working in retail running her own business. Due to her art background Fiona is very knowledgeable, in her advice regarding the materials I have bought. I remember I asked for 4 large canvases to be made up within 1 week and Fiona readily was able to do this. Fiona I have noticed has a warm and respectful attitude to the variety of people coming into St Kilda Art Supplies; art students, art professionals and people looking for advice re first time projects.
