Wairakei Road Playground
Nice play equipment for kids. Flying fox is great for older kids and even had some manual exercise equipment. Whole place could do with a spruce up though.

Great park for the kids, they can play in the playground while the parents do some exercise on the workout rides, there's even a flying fox to have some fun on!! No toilets but there is a water fountain to drink from!

Lovely park for younger children, 2-5 years.Quite a deal of shade. 3 picnic tables. Seperate area with long flying fox and grass to kick soccer ball.

A great hidden gem of a playground. Features a fast flying fox, great climbing rope web, some exercise equipment, and the normal slides/swings (including an accessible" chair style swing) etc. It is also fenced to the road."

Great area and space that has everything you need like a toilet, drinking fountains, community library, play equipment for all ages groups, mostly fenced (especially along the road), exercise equipment and seating. My children really enjoyed this playground.

This is just the best park for the whole family. Plenty of parking and shady spots to sit and have lunch. Great for all ages

Don't think anybody, visitors or locals, parents or amateur athletes, picnicers or dog walkers, Open Air Celebrations, Childrens' Birthday Celebrations, Fenced Safe-Space Activity Playground, Family Get-Togethers under Amazing, tall, Shady Gums......& all this in view of the Wamberal Lake edge.Fitness Equipment Available. Toilets also. Disability Parking spaces (2) normal parking Limited & in a very narrow Road!Wonderful extended Space to even kick a ball around! Enjoy folks!

Me and my cousins loved the flying fox there, we used to play on it all the time when we were younger! I miss those days…
