After reading other reviews I was so excited to receive my Crisfloat. Susan at Hawkesbury Flors was great to deal with, but I am disgusted by the lack of customer service at Crisfloat when I started to have problems. I debated with my partner all the “benefits” of this float, and he reluctantly agreed..Obviously I was sold a lemon- I don’t know if they are feeling the pinch and cutting corners, but after 3 disastrous trips with 3 different horses getting injured, I had to send the float back. It was an Ascot 3 horse float.Having used A Kara Kar 4 horse for the last 6 years and had other floats including Stallion, Cub and Tuza, a 5 horse truck and an 8 horse truck we are very experienced with transporting horses, and our horses always travelled well until the Crisfloat. They travel well since being back in the Kara Kar.To start with there were a number of rough and sharp edges in places that horses could get stuck or scrape their legs. The vents were set too far back to be useful. The holes for the barn door didn’t line up, the side hooks on the ramp didn’t lock in properly. The bar across the front bay which created the Frame was way to low. The tack box leaked every time we hosed the float. The back wall pushed in and out and we were a bit worried the latch would pop out.On our first trip the spring lock on one of the stallion dividers came undone and broke. The divider swung round, bashing into the horses and caused them to lean on the barrier, which in turn came undone, further scaring the horse. He had big grazes on hips and legs and was unable to race for a couple of weeksWe duck taped the stallion dividers closed so they couldn’t come undone. the spring on the catch had broken off.Our second trip was with 2 12hh ponies on the float. This came off ok thankfully.The third trip we put two 16hh horses on.This was a total disaster and the last time we used it. The front horse leaned against the barrier and caused the whole plastic middle part of the divider to pop out, pushing into the other horse. The barrier bent badly. Both horses were cut up badly on hips, sides and legs.After this incident we weren’t going to use the float again, and couldn’t as the damage was so bad. I would hate to see what happened if the horse really went off!Susan agreed to take the float back and return to manufacturer. She refunded cost of float and was very helpful. I was however still out of pocket $1000 and felt that Crisfloat should cover this. I asked on a number of occasions for Cris to contact me however he has not done so. No apology, explanation, customer service or anything. I am truly disgusted by his total lack of business ethics or attempt to rectify the situation.

I purchased my Crisfloat 7 years ago and I love it to bits. I needed some parts last week and Crisfloats posted them instantly. There aftersales service is outstanding, there floats superb.
