Strong Hearts Cat Rescue

I submitted multiple applications and had follow up phone calls then did not hear anything regarding adopting a cat. I followed up via facebook messenger and was told they would contact me that day as my application had been overlooked, then no response. Followed up again and still have not heard despite being told their were no issues with my application. Seemed extremely hard to even begin the adoption process for a shelter / foster organisation that advertises as in desperate need to re-home their animals. I went elsewhere and was responded to promptly and found my new furry friend within a week. I understand they were super busy but getting animals adopted should be the priority and in turn reduces their workload I suppose? Their adoption fees also seem higher than I’ve seen at similar other places.

I have been so lucky to come across Strong Hearts Cat Rescue, and began my journey into fostering cats with them.It's amazing to see how this team of volunteers save death row pound cats every week, and give them a new safe life.I've also adopted a cat from Strong Hearts!This world needs more people like the team at Strong Hearts Cat Rescue.

We adopted a wonderful dog from Strong Hearts in early 2023. The dog fits our family and lifestyle really well and we couldn't be happier with her.However... I can't say the same for Strong Hearts. Another reviewer has already weighed in on the situation... but basically due to a dispute between Strong Hearts and a previous adopter, who returned the dog to Strong Hearts after a short adoption, we cannot get the microchip changed into our name. The previous adopter keeps rejecting the transfers dispite having no current ownership over our dog, and Strong Hearts are unwilling to do anything about the situation. We've spent considerable time and money attempting to rectify this but with no success. We are now fearful if our dog gets loose we won't have her returned as the microchip is in another person's name. Strong Hearts could have avoided this by refunding the previous adopter' fee or coming to an agreement but as we've experienced first hand communications and emails generally go ignored for weeks on end.Strong Hearts may have some great animals up for adoption but their support after adoption is extremely poor, so if you have a problem you're on your own.

I have been fostering for Strong Hearts for nearly 12 months now and have adopted (foster failed) one cat and one dog. I have never met a more passionate and compassionate group of people. These volunteers go over and above to help the animals in their care and support the foster carers who provide temporary homes. The work Strong Hearts does is both heartwarming and heartbreaking. Thanks Strong Hearts for all that you do for the animals.

Any one that rescues animals is alright by me. I have donated to them.

Strong Hearts has really let me down as an Animal Rescue Centre,I would strongly advice anyone looking into this organization to reconsider. Essentially I adopted a cat here which I unfortunately had to return the next day and was told I would receive a 75% refund of the amount paid. Strong Hearts has never given me this refund have ultimately gone completely no-contact and ghosted any attempt at communication. Looking at the other reviews, this is clearly not the first time this has happened and I am grateful my amount was for only 150$ rather than the 900$ listed below. They are clearly unfazed to break their contractual obligations and are willing to lie to consumers for a profit, ultimately I would advise others to steer clear of this organization and not trust the provided contracts.
