I appreciate Girraween veterinary hospital for taking me on for my cert IV in veterinary nursing workplacement, they have a lot of patience with me as I am still learning. My cat panther is currently receiving laser therapy for his gingivitis, I have never been to another vet that cares this much, if it wasn’t for Girraween vet I wouldn’t know that my cat had gingivitis in the first place.Thank you!! I’ll be forever grateful for your patience and support.

Here is a very sad , and cruel story that took place at Girraween Vet Hospital. When a owner of her beloved companion Bridget took her dog to clinic to have her teeth cleaned, she was handed back a DEAD dog and a bill for $ 400, with NO apology, NO sympathy and NO words of compassion. Instead the clinic implyed the dog must have been previously injured . The fact was, a healthy dog went in, and a DEAD one came out. The poor owner has not stopped crying now for 4 days, and when her son has been ringing them up, they never even returned his calls. The son is also very lost and disgusted at the treatment of his poor mother , as the clinic is hiding behind their denial, and the question is,,,,, How many more have been treated this way ???? The son who is sad for loss of his mothers companion, Bridget and is concerned for his mother ,is asking everyone to stand up against poor ethics and lack of concern for pets and pet owners. One question stands out, why did they treat the owner the way they did , when they returned , not her alive beloved pet, she handed in , but a DEAD dog !!!! This is one of the cruelest and coldest and heartless stories stories I have heard in a long, long time. And I am sure I am not the only one. One wonders, how would the staff of this vet hospital handle if the same story happened to them or their mother.???????

I simply can't thank you enough Dr Bates, for your dedication to the welfare of my dogs. Thanks to you my little dog has lived a long, vibrant and healthy life till he lost his fight with cancer last week. It was your information that kept him comfortable, happy and his boisterous self, till he was ready to go with dignity. Girraween Veterinary Hospital has been my vet of choice for as long as they have been open. Several years ago I moved interstate, to an area that has 6 vet clinic within a 5km radius in either direction of my home. When my 15 year old Jack Russel cross became suddenly ill and despite visiting several of those vets it was Dr Bates information that allowed me to give him a real quality of life once I had relayed her information to these vets. I sincerely hope Darwin appreciates the calibre of vet they have available to them up there. I might add that her clinic facilities are quite superior to what i have experienced here also. Outstanding facilities, top quality service and real heartfelt care for your pet is what you'll get from this vet.

We have been using Girraween vet for about 10 years. No issues no fuss. Their prices are mostly competitive for pet care but some products can be more expensive i.e accessories for your pet.

We have been taking our Labradors here for years and would not go anywhere else. Most recently we had to put to sleep our beloved 13 year old labrador Betty as she was not well. The compassion and empathy that was shown to our family at this heartbreaking time was one we certainly won't forget - greatly appreciated. Our other Lab Daisy is always getting into mischief and has ongoing skins issues - thanks to the great care provided to her and advice and learnings provided to us we are generally able to stay on top of her skin issues - great guidance and advice always.

Having recently moved to the NT, we tragically lost our much loved baby boy Sargent, the young lady was extremely helpful and caring. I also wish to thank you for the beautiful card we received. R.I.P. Sargent.

Absolutely disappointed with it. Spent $1500 on my dog and then they have the ordasity to charge a follow up appointment of $95. Just courtesy to see how my dog was after surgery would of been nice. And to be charged $95 for a follow up was just rude rude rude. Won't go back there ever

I took my 8 week old puppy to have his injections and a (slight) nail clip. They charged me $40 for a 3 min nail clip. I have taken my puppy and business elsewhere! No such thing as a “goodwill gesture” to a customer who could have been a customer for life!
