Landrover on a pole
Most landrover owners are used to seeing their car on a hoist, although this one is a little different.

At the time of my visit it was a lovely day, but prior to that the area must have had a fair bit of rain, because the surrounding area was a bit soggy underfoot. And as I'd parked my car down the road a little further away I'd also stepped out onto a limestone area of the street, so getting the sloppy residue onto my shoes. So be careful where one parks. The Landrover on a pole is adjacent to a children's playground area.No ticket needed!

Why's a Land Rover on a pole? They asked the bloke that put it there and he said If you sat it on the ground

We tried to imagine just how they got the Landrover up onto the pole and figured it must have been a very large crane lending a hand. Very interesting, as was the display of the Furnished Rooms from the 1950's and the fabulous Murals of the Firemen and their Fire Truck, plus, the extra large length of Chain, with each link being 10 to 12 inches long and very heavy. It was originally used to Clear the Land of bushes & small trees so it could be used for agriculture. There is even a plaque explaining it all. Well worth the stop. Hope you get to enjoy it too.

The land rover was definitely up a pole. Lots to read around the area during my jaunt around town.

So much to see in Keith, we walked the length of the main street and found a fantastic play area for the little ones, a centurion tank, remnants of the old railway station, land rover on a pole, original settlers cottage, skate park and a yummy bakery. Great place to stop and get out of the car. The community has great pride in their small town.
