Nice enough place. A rough around the edges but clean regular old style pub. Also a Darwin institution.Bar staff could use a bit of client service training. The occasional smile wouldn't go astray.

Not been here for a while. My friend was curious to try the place. We went on schnitzel night. Beef and chicken schnitzel were $15 and $14 respectively. We both had beef and my friend had parmy upgrade for only two bucks more.Both meals were superlative. The spring rolls were excellent and the fried ice cream was a magical vietnamese influenced variation of the usual, which was simply superb.I have not had its equal. The coconut was served with a palm sugar syrup drizzled over it, cashews and the ice cream itself was wrapped in a thin pastry and shallow fried. Just divine!

I really didn't like the meals we got. Small, mass produced schnitzel that may or may not have been real chicken. Odd salad; hearts of the tomatoes had been removed leaving only the flesh and skin - really strange. It was edible but not more than that. Atmosphere is as you'd expect and its an ok place to get a beer but I wouldn't expect boutique or craft options. This really is the locals drinking hole so expect that if you go here.

I've always loved coming to The Buff Club for a drink with friends, but now I have another reason to visit - the incredible food! The Grilled Chicken with Camembert Sauce was a standout dish for me. The chicken was juicy and flavorful, and the sauce was rich and decadent. The Barramundi was also a hit, with a crispy exterior and tender, flaky meat. The new and improved quality of the food at The Buff Club is truly impressive, and I can't wait to come back for more!

I go to the club on Wednesdays for the trivia night which is a lot of fun. Friday nights for the members draw, raffles and spin & win fun. It is a typical workers type club with membership being a very modest charge. A pokies area and 2 pool tables as well as multiple TV screens for sporting events, together with a TAB and Keno provide lots to do. Bands and music on the weekend. I always feel safe and comfortable here which says a lot for a senior female. Members can use the free shuttle bus for pick up from and to home. Beverage prices are very good. There is an on-site bistro open for lunch and dinner. Quality of meals is great are a generous serve and good value for money. Members get a discount on food and beverage. Staff are generally very good and friendly. There are two outdoor beer garden areas. Two off-street parking areas and adjacent street parking. Wheelchair accessible from the rear.

There was a roast available for lunch and we had a couple of kids that wanted nuggets, one adult mentioned she would have liked a steak. Well the so called Grumpy Chef" Geoffrey accommodated with Everything we asked for! Bloody brilliant

Great food at a great price and cheap drinks.Most would drive by without realising it is even there.Plenty of big screens with live sports and racing.

Living close to the buff club being a local when I moved back from western Australia I found the place great there's always a lady on on a Sunday that speaks that badly to people I'm dumb founded how she still works there . . Good place for a beer if the boys are on don't bother for a feed

Poor Cook doing everything alone with no assistance. Definitely not a place to get a quick lunch. The shechuan pork burger should be taken out of the menu, it's really greasy, other dishes don't look appealing either. This can be improved tremendously if they have enough staff members doing the lunch service. Price wise is not bad.

Support the local pubs. Buff Club is a local heritage pub in existence since 1961 (and more). Service is efficient and staff are friendly. Buff is where you will meet locals, participate in great events (ukulele club meet on Tuesdays) and decent food. I ordered the prawn linguine and I wanted more (21$). The Buff Burger with chips is a beast to handle (17$). Bus from city available. Must try while you are visiting Darwin.
