Derrimut Respiratory Clinic

Cannot fault this respiratory clinic. Have been here on 2 occasions for my baby boy and both times the nurses and doctors have been amazing. They have been so gentle with my son and gave me informative advice on how to care for him.Appointments are always on time unlike any other doctors clinics I have been to.

We were seen right on time (So rare!) . I had gotten an appointment for the same day. Was in and out within 15 mins and we got our results from the doctor Today who phoned. I am extremely impressed and thankful we were able to be seen swiftly!

Just took my son to Dr. Malik. Rude, unprofessional and should not be in the system. Did not even ask what is wrong. Did not examine him at all.Told us not to come back here as we will risk catching covid. I will be taking it up with AHPRA and ombudsman. Do not come here as . Please look at other reviews as well!!!

Attended clinic Christmas Eve with my 7 month old. The care we received when we arrived was exceptional. The njrse (Chrissy?) and doctor we saw were wonderful with my son and were thorough and efficient putting my mind at ease. Lovely service!

EDITED: DO NOT ATTEND a consultation with Dr Malik in the respiratory clinic, and I would Urge you to ask further questions about the General Practitioner you choose here. (I HIGHLY RECOMMEND SUNSHINE RESPIRATORY CLINIC as your Alternative where the doctors and nursing team take their time to thoroughly examine your individual situation) Dr Malik is extremely unprofessional and condescending in his treatment of patients. After being advised by HIS colleague to return if symptoms remained (which we did) for my son's respiratory ailments, he after 2-3 minutes of minimal consult told us to leave, at which point I asked for antibiotics or further consultation (My son has been suffering for quite some time with a sore ear and off school for two weeks) while I was accepting that this was not the required solution, as yes, he is the doctor. To be told to be quiet and listen, challenging my credentials in education (Condescending), insinuating I am incapable of understanding, then telling us to Get out" after I asked further questions regarding my son's ailments. Was APPALLING. He did not check his ears which have been ailing my son

Go somewhere else if you want to get medical care. The doctor at this clinic is rude and yells at patients. We were asked to wait in our car and later by the door after telling the doctor our baby's symptoms. We waited outside in the rain for 10 minutes before the doctor let us in only to yell at us and argue who waited longer. The nurse and receptionist enabled the doctor's poor behaviour by telling us we should've been quicker by not using a pram for our baby. We were really uncomfortable and left.

The nurse was very helpful when I came for an appointment and tried her best to help out as much as possible, even when it turned out I did not need the appointment after all.

Two stars only because the doctor and nurse when we actually attended the clinic were patient with my sick two year old.Follow up was terrible though! I received a message to book in for a phone appointment and have called 3 times since my appointment time but still not spoken with the doctor. I was told the doctor would call eventually and to expect a call any time up to 8PM (1.10 appointment booked during lunch hours for a reason)

If I could give NO stars I would.Doctor was late in arrival to practice. Had no bedside manner extremely dismissive. Waste of my time. Never felt like such inconvenience.Will never attend again.

Rude arrogant doctor (if that’s what you would call him) wouldn’t shut up and allow you to answer the questions he was asking and then continues to speak over you then asks…”so what do you want me to do?”You’re the ——doctor…. Well, so I thought.Go to the McDonalds drive thru, much more helpful
