Worth the drive to visit a part of Victorian history. It has given me a different perspective of the history of Ned Kelly.

A very well presented and maintained historic site. Explains the incident well. Obviously the Kelly's were well supported by local intelligence. The short walk is a must. It would have been good to have some history regarding the mining in the immediate areas, as much of it remains. The policeman's camp-site and entire creek valley would have been much more open at the time of the ambush due to mining vegetation clearance.

A lovely spot and very balanced interpretive signage... apart from the rather questionable covering of the victims' names by the perpetrators' symbol at the marked tree. Don't miss the walk!

This Memorial/Display is very well done and well worth a detour to visit or camp. Very interesting to read the unadulterated facts of the ambush and murder that took place there.

Nice flat campsites with shaded and full sun areas, new drop toilets and Kelly gang history trail with memorial area. Well signed with information boards.

A fantastic site of history. Most well preserved and maintained “ned Kelly” location thanks to the families of the policeman. Unfortunately ned kellys face has been scratched out. I understand it’s the site of murder but the story has more nuance as told in the education signs. The drop toilets have no toilet paper but do have a sink.Definitely recommend but keep in mind it’s very high up. I drove there in a 2WD. No reception.

A serene bush setting that honours the murder of 3 Irish born Victorian police officers who were ambushed and killed by the Kelly gang. Informative signs and a discovery walk (1400 metres circuit). Has public toilets as does nearby camping grounds.

Very peaceful monument to one of Australia’s most debatable history. Takes you on a sign posted tour of the area and explains a little of the Stringybark Creek ambush by Ned Kelly against the authorities. If you like Australian history this is a must see place along with Mansfield township.
