Best Coast Pizza

On the suggestion of a colleague, I got The Lot from @BestCoastPizza: Pepperoni, Double Smoked Ham, Chorizo, Sauteed Mushrooms, Roasted Capsicum, Kalamata OlivesAnd boy was it delicious! Absolutely deliciously fresh pizza and I don't like pizza until now

Pros: Genuinely delicious pizza and friendly service. The staff are clearly hard workers.Cons: Take out is always significantly late. There have been nights where customers have had to wait more than 40 minutes past the estimated pickup time. It’s a shame they don’t think to change the website time estimation to reflect how busy they are. Have learned to order well in advance.I continue to come back because it’s a lovely business. But the poor staff (almost exclusively under 18) always seem stressed when there aren’t enough of them to manage a busy night of orders and subsequently frustrated customers.

Fresh food, delicious pizzas. Probably the best garlic bread I’ve ever had

DO NOT expect your order to be complete or as requested. Arrived home with pizzas and noticed they had the incorrect sauce. Waited over 10 minutes to actually place my order. Ordered 3 pizzas, 2 with BBQ sauce base instead of tomato base $61, charged $63.75 - no extra charge for the change in sauce. Both came with tomato sauce. Waited over 30 minutes then had one of the pizzas missing. Was told 2 minutes, which ended up bing 12 minutes. Other customers had pizzas missing from their orders and apparently they ran out of rocket early in the evening (IGA next door). While waiting for my pizzas, observed a female staff member open a bag of rocket placing it straight onto the pizza without washing. Phoned the store and was told I would receive 20% next time - won’t be going back there. Oh and the EXCUSE was that they were busy. Not too hard to read an order and make a pizza as per the order. Wasted my time and money as I don’t eat tomato sauce. Oh, the plus ? offered me a free drink for the inconvenience of the waiting time. Looks like they won’t be making a profit on small drinks tonight as other customers were also offered a small drink. To the owner …. yes, I did phone the store and was not offered a refund or replacement, I appreciate I phoned after closing time but the phone was answered and I did phone minutes after arriving home - 20% off is not compensation for me throwing the pizzas in the bin and ordering dinner from somewhere else.

Pizza is decent but sadly never really cut even/correctly. I think it has new owners as it’s really slow and inefficient now :(Lots of young people which I love to see but lacks leadership from someone in hospitality.Happy to change my review if it improves. Not sure I’ll be back though. I hope they sort their hospitality issues asap!

Sorry I’m going have to change my review, I just requested a vegetarian pizza for my daughter who can not eat or will not eat meat or any sea food.Unfortunately Best Pizza delivered a veggie pizza which contained prawns!!Kindly after calling to raise my issue they offered a replacement.Best Pizza do provide great pizzas, timely and polite service but just be careful what you order.

Have come here twice - food was amazing but both times they got the order wrong after we waited 40mins for it

Having worked at various pizza stores for a cumulative 8 years I have incredibly high standards for takeaway pizza. I was pleasantly surprised with my order from Best Coast Pizza. The ingredients were of great quality, fresh and very well combined in the pizzas we ordered, and reasonably priced as well.It was very apparent that this business, which seemed to be a family run business, is very precise in the sort of quality they want their pizzas to have, which was impressive and very delicious. A far cry from other larger pizza chain stores nowadays.Also had a few sides which were very nice including the lasagna and ice creams. I would highly recommend and will be coming back as this is likely one of the best takeaway pizza in the Newcastle/Hunter region.
