A busy and important station located on the Main Suburban line in the Sydney suburb of Strathfield. The station is served by Sydney Trains T1 North Shore & Western Line, T9 Northern Line and T2 Inner West & Leppington Line suburban services as well as NSW TrainLink Intercity and regional services. Acts as a major junction for regional and suburban rail services.

Strathfield
One of the busiest stations in Sydney. Most train lines stop by here so you never have to wait long for a train. There are ramps going down into the station and ramps back up to each platform. It's generally clean, despite the amount of people.

One of the busiest stations on the Cityrail network, Strathfield offers connections to almost every other line. Virtually every single train stops here so if you’ve just missed one odds are you won’t have to wait long for the next. There’s a medium sized shopping centre located just outside the station, but if you want Westfield you’ll have to travel one station to Burwood. The main downside to the station s that it does get crowded at peak times with the tunnels under the platforms sometimes getting log jammed.

The good thing about this station is , it takes you to wherever your destination is.So many restaurants and shops nearby. It’s just get to crowded at some peak hours.

Strathfield is Strathfield. Full of a vast variety of multicultural restaurants, easily within walking distance of the station, it also has the usual suspects. Chemist warehouse. Woolworths. Clothes shopsOr, right outside the station is a huge square for just sitting and relaxing. Benches. Trees. Fantastic views.Or, so very close to a bus station.Strathfield literally has it all.

When a customer suffered a medical episode in my carriage, the staff and Duty Manager were incredible: calling 000, waiting with the patient, and keeping them safe until the ambulance arrived.

Strathfield station was very busy when I was waiting for a train to Penrith. This station is always busy considering it is a major transport hub. Information about different trains are available from very friendly and helpful station staff and also the display monitors on the platforms and main concourse below the platforms.
