Best Disability Support

Best Disability Support is a wonderful organisation that truly cares about their people and treats every one of them with the utmost respect. Our family really values the relationship our son has developed with Best.

BEST is the best (these are my niece Katie's words). Katie started at BEST Disability Support just over 2 years ago and it has been amazing to see how much Katie has grown in confidence. She just loves BEST, the staff are amazing and Katie has made so many new friends. She enjoys the programs, especially shredding paper during work experience. I am a very proud aunty seeing Katie getting up in front of so many people giving her 'speech'. I cannot ever thank Kim, Chris and all the staff enough. They are friendly, caring and have such great positive energy. They very obviously want the best possible outcome for the 'individual'. They actively seek ways to support their clients to work towards their individual dreams. BEST, you are the best!

Seeing as I no longer work for BEST, as I was fired last week (via a voicemail message) without given any notice or the chance to communicate my feelings around the situation, I would like to leave my honest opinion of this centre. The members who attend BEST are some of the most wonderful people I have had the pleasure to work with and the mentors are creative, empathetic and so good at what they do. Vanessa, Amelia, Edwina and Nick are incredible at creating a supportive and inclusive environment that really empowers and uplifts other people. I can’t say the same about the management unfortunately. I’m highly disappointed at their lack of empathy, communication, and the general disrespect towards me around my dismissal. Unfortunately this has tarnished what would have likely been a very positive review.

BEST - A BIG thanks & shout out to CHRIS, all the team & qualified support workers, for adults & children with disabilities & mental health at BEST. They help empower and encourage their clients to improve their quality of life.They are the 'BEST' with an abundance of empathy, patience, and understanding. The whole team are great, caring & thoughtful to everyone's individual needs & growth. Every person they support are unique, so it's very valuable & important to Chris & each team member to understand how to help someone achieve their knowledge, skills, capabilities & goals.I sincerely thank Chris, & all your support team for being a crucial part of our community. Your endless support, commitment & love is truly appreciated! ❤️

From my experience of BEST Disability Support over the past several months, it is innovative and person-centred. I see skills training and development programs being offered in ways that are meaningful and delivered by support workers who ‘get it’. I would recommend BEST Disability Support to anyone looking for support in their area.

I am so privileged to have seen this team in action over the last few years. It has grown to become the Best" around. They genuinely care. "Best" are always looking to further improve quality of life to those who may not have been given the time and opportunities elsewhere. With exciting programs and skills on offer. BEST run some amazing programs and are heavily involved with my local golf club. The team there are very focused on upskilling the members into future employment! Would recommend to anyone looking for great support for their child.
