Urban Hair

I came across Urban Hair after searching for a salon with expertise in hair extensions. After years of neglect, my hair was very fine and quite fluffy. I was quickly impressed Rosa's skill and advice. She is clearly an expert in every way.A first appointment is scheduled to discuss my wishes and how to get the most out of the investment, The best ethically sourced hair extensions available from overseas are used, with a colour that closely matches your natural hair to minimise any visibility as your hair grows over time.A couple of days later and you are back for the full treatment. The process takes around 2 1/2 hours, starting with a colour of your own hair, and a trim, and then the placement of the extensions.I was immediately in love with the final product, which is incredibly natural looking with the perfect amount of volume and length. Whether left out, or up in a pony, this is absolultely the hair of my dreams!If you are thinking of extensions for yourself, I would definately recommend getting in touch with Urban Hair.

I am very particular about how I like my hair (and fringe) cut, Urban Hair do a fantastic job! They are one of the few salons in Canberra I have found works for me and at a great price!

I had my first cut at Urban Hair today and Beth was great. She listened to my concerns, fixed a bad cut I had received from a much more expensive Canberra salon and then blowdried my hair straight. The cut and blowdry was $50 TOTAL. That is crazy cheap for Canberra. I will definitely be going here again.

Very rude owner. Talks loudly and aggressively in front of customers about other customers. Some of the hair stylists are really nice but there are much better salons out there on and the owner really brings the place down. I won't be coming back.

Very very nice experience, had a glitch at first, but this was handled well by the owner, with sensitivity. My hairdresser Maria was lovely , professional, knowledgeable AND did a great haircut. Not what she and I are aiming for but the first step , after a very poor hair cut off at Loft in Manuka(2). I have another appountment in 6 weeks time. A very good sign.

Melted off a bunch of my hair and pushed the blame onto me by saying it's what you're using at home" despite the fact I was paying $300 for a professional to do my hair.Extremely distressing experience. Ruined my 30th birthday

I'm blown away by how amazing my experience was at Urban Hair. All the staff were friendly and the lady who cut my hair was so pleasant, followed the lines in my hair and just knew how to give a great haircut. I walked out of the salon feeling a million bucks!! I'll be returning!!

The most unfriendly, un-skilled salon I have ever been in.I went in for a hair colour which was patchy and brighter than the swatch.When I went in for a correction, I was treated so rudely, as if I was asking for something for free. The correction was patchy leaving me darker than the swatch and I was left with wet hair as the stylist said I would be charged for a blow dry if I wanted my hair air dried.I was so distressed by this experience.I will certainly not be returning.

THE best hairdressers in the inner-south!Have been going there for years and am always impressed with how they cut/trim, color (blonde foils), and style (braid) my hair.My toddler had his first haircut today with Beth and she was fantastic, calmed my nerves as well as his, and he looks even more gorgeous now!Even my husband goes there too, and scrubs up pretty well too ;)And they have THE best conversations/banter of any hairdressers I've even been to, I always have a laugh when I'm there :)
