Very fast response after requesting home visit for quote. Very professional, with computer demonstration and excellent paperwork explaining options. Inspired confidence immediately. Excellent workmanship. They did exactly as promised with very good post installation follow up by phone and emails.

Gem Energy (Darwin) installed our Rooftop Solar system about 6 months ago. Their team was prompt, knowledgeable and keen, completing the install in quick time, and at a very competitive price. About a week ago the system inverter failed. The team in Darwin sourced a replacement unit and installed it within a few days. I am happy to recommend them from quoting through to after installation support.

GEM took care of everything for our Solar installation, from acquiring permits, to arranging power meter changes and even setting us up with the solar web app to monitor the output from the system. The only thing we had to do was to call Jacana Energy once it had been installed, could not have been easier or stress free.Russell was our sales person, he was very knowledgeable regarding all the products Gem sells and advised on the best solution for us.Tamie was our Installation Manager and was a pleasure to deal with, keeping us informed along the way.Overall, very happy and highly recommended.

My wife and I had been considering installing solar energy panels for some time after we had experienced their real value in Hervey Bay , Queensland prior to our move to N T. GEM Energy is highly recommended. People who managed this project for me were helpful and responsible in the course of consulting, document preparation and pre & post installation. I want to say thank you sincerely to the consultant named Hayden, project manager named Tamie, who kept in touch with me and assist me closely and answer my quires promptly all the way through Also, the installation team did a good job, thanks to Adam. It was not easy to do this in Darwin. It was hot and humid and It was raining during the day when the instillation was carried out. We are so exited about the solar. We can't have this without their effort. Thank you GEM. :)

Highly incompetent (at least the Darwin branch), though staff is very friendly. We had solar panels and batteries installed.Installation happened 4 weeks after the agreed upon date. A day after installation we had a different guy fix something on the roof and he noticed that some of the panels were loose. Gem came and fixed that.Two days later the whole system broke down, Gem came and diagnosed that they would have to order spare parts which could take a while. Several weeks later they called to replace the faulty parts, but then realised on the day when they were supposed to come that they had ordered the wrong parts. They re-ordered and fixed everything still some weeks later. I paid the final bill. Roughly 3 months later I received a standardised email stating that my bill was now overdue. I tried to follow up by phone and email but could not get through and did not receive any feedback.The PV system works very nicely, but dealing with Gem is highly frustrating as they seem to make every mistake possible. Gem acknowledged the above errors in an email and sent us a picnic basket as compensation, not sure if that is worth all the trouble...

I found Gem Energy through personal research when looking for installers to get quotes. The Gem folks were the only company of 5 that I selected to get quotes from that seemed to know what they were selling and were able to answer my questions open, honestly and frankly.The installation was punctual, prompt and seamless.I have had the installation now for 7 months and have recently had problems with my inverter reporting a state code that was limiting the amount of power feeding back into the grid and affecting my ROI over the medium term. I raised this with Gem and they remedied the situation within hours. This is a rare level of service in Darwin.I am happily recommending Gem Energy to anyone interested in Solar PV systems in the NT. This is a professional organisation, obviously working hard in a competitive industry that is really exposed to scrutiny and doing a great job.I paid a premium price (happily) to get a premium product and it's living up to my expectations and those promised by Gem Energy.Dion

Once out HBBS voucher was approved and consultation with Hayden at GEM Energy Darwin completed, our Tesla Powerwall 2 was installed in relative quick succession. The team at GEM has been very professional from Day 0! Russell and Stacey have been very patient with my questions and are very timely with their responses. Installers were friendly, responsible and are highly skilled. Would recommend anyone to give GEM a buzz if they are looking for a great experience with installing Solar!

Amazing customer service! Had a fault with our solar system, Stacey and the team at GEM had it sorted and repaired under warranty within 24 hours. I’ve never had this level of customer service in 25 years living in the Territory. They kept us updated every step of the way, even ringing us when their tradesman was running a bit late. Absolutely first class and highly recommended!
