Australia Post - Prahran Post Shop

Despite advertising they were open at 9.00am on Saturday morning, the Post Office was closed. Dozens of people were waiting for it to open. No reason provided for it not being openned. Simply not good enough

Over the last 2 weeks they just never seem to be open. They all take lunch together for 1 hour so the shop is fully shut for this time, instead of staggering staff and remaining open. Yesterday I walked past and it was closed from 3pm. When they are open they have 3 staff out the front and 1 out the back but with a long line out the door (45min post office visit). They have one staff member who is still learning but shouldn't be serving as she doesn't yet know what she is doing. She mucked up my package I was sending and then another staff member had to come over delete and re start. If they are having issues due to covid staff absences then they should communicate this otherwise just comes across as poor service and organisation. Opening times need to be better communicated and updating their google listing is a good place to start.

Went to get my passport photo and there camera wasn’t working and they had no backup. Told me not to go to Officeworks as they don’t always get it right so they sent me to another post office who don’t even take passport photos. Went back a week later and got them done only to find out 3 weeks after the passport was lodged that the photos weren’t accepted. I had to go back again and get them which has wasted so much time and now in danger of having to pay stupid fees to get it express. Very annoying.

Visit today to help my parents sending passport documents with register mail. I was asking a Asian woman who was doing stock up on the shelf. She has no patient to answer my questions. She was rude to tell me the plastic envelops are more expensive than the paper ones. It seems I don’t have enough money to pay for them. When I went to the counter to pay for my stuff, she came up to ask me did I write on the envelopes which I haven’t been paid for. It’s common sense, of course u have to pay first and use it. She treat me like I want to steal something. Big no for her. Rude .

$20 passport photo is total waste of money - back ground is grey, staff is impatient, photo is blurry, the pixel of the digital version is only 92kb not even met the standard for upload. Better service and quality at Ted’s costs the same + 1 free take if the 1st photo not accepted.

I tried to purchase a postage bag with my Business Account and the gentleman wanted to over charge me and then got all the details off me to proceed with the correct amount. After 5 minutes he then said that he can’t assist me. This branch of AP is always problematic and hopeless at answering basic questions. They need extensive training in customer service and business processes!!!

Best post office I’ve ever dealt with. So helpful and all staff so friendly and always remember me! Georgia is amazing. Great great customer service

Delivery Driver forced me to give my 1/2P parking space for him so he could save 2s of walking distance.He keep saying it’s a mailing zone which the the red arrow addressing the mailing zone is actually the parking ahead of my parking.He refused to address to apologise for the false statement and drive off in short time.I understand that during Christmas will be a lot more loads of deliveries than normal times. But this driver refused to the option when he could just park to another spot less than 5 meter away, and instead of asking politely to help him out, this driver choose to knock on my car and force me to give him the space.

I was there last week to post a parcel internationally. The post office was clean and well-stocked. The staff were fast and very friendly.It didn’t take too long although I was there on a weekend in the afternoon. They also sell some cool Aussie stamp collections - I am sure to check them out the next time I am here.

Really poor customer service. I had to go there as the one in Toorak Road has closed. BIG MISTAKE AUS POST. Only one person working and i was waiting patiently. Another young girl opened up. I asked if they had the Queen’s platinum coin set. She said ‘no’. That was it. No other info provided. No sorry, explanation, or suggestion on where i might find them. I am over young people with no manners. What a horrible world they will create. Will never go there again. Will go to Richmond instead
