My grandson is flourishing at this school and his parents can’t speak highly enough of the principal and his teachers.

Assessing Faith from it's development is a bit harsh. But as the years go by (compared to Redlands) there has been very little progression. Unfortunately the Cons outweigh the Pros.Pros:The Indigenous program - It is very clear that the local indigenous tribes of the land are being catered for. There are many facilities (such as Yarning Circles and Close the gap classes) that provide a place of comfort. The only downside is for the students who are not of Indigenous decent are treated differently to those who areCurricular Facilities - Faith being located in a rural area, has provided facilities for classes and future Careers in Trades and Agriculture. A (small) Library for studies and ICT and many other Opportunities (Religion studies and worship, Food and Home Technology, Basic Science classrooms. ETC)School Functions - The Functions held by this school may not be the best, but at least they have these eventsEx-Curricular Activities - From sports to Music Lessons, a school for this size shouldn't have this many......Alas, this is what most of the school's reputation and funds go into, Sports and Scholarships for sports. Which is what creates so many Cons for this schoolCons:Academics - A school that has been operating for this many years with this size and funds should at least be reflective on the success in grading. To those who are not aware, Faith is falling behind on Academic levels with most of the schools in the local area (Laidley and Lockyer State: Schools that can barely afford funds to keep doors in the Male Bathrooms) surpassing them in Mathematics and English. There is no excuse for these poor reports. Most of this has something to do with lack of push for Academics and more Sports and Trade pathwaysUpgrades - Juniors receive more updated facilities than seniors. Faith needs to stop spending funds periodically and provide to all Levels when they do decide to spendAcceptance to diversity - Or the lack thereof. The school does have a very successful Indigenous and Lutheran Program. However, if you are a minority that does not fit these two, you are guaranteed exclusion from expression of beliefs. Studies of some major Religions (Judaism, Islam, Catholicism) are placed in some of the religious curriculum. Reports of students trying to express opinions on Religious/Ethical belief have been shunned and allegedly put down by staff and students due to not matching the religious or Political agenda of the schoolFamilies and Finance - As Faith Lutheran is a privately owned school of such small size, the pricing per semester is far cheaper compared to most Private schools. Which allows those who are not as wealthy to seek a better education. Students that are not of a higher wealthier class will find they are treated poorly by other students and school organisersBullying - Now it's safe to say that every school has Bullying. It's a natural and negative impact found everywhere. The tackle of Bullying in this school is very strange. There are just too many students that are spiteful towards each otherPoor handling of Incidents with Violence and Child Abuse - Faith does not have many incidents between students, but when there is a minor incident, it is found that the levels of administration are not informing parents. That goes to say for severe incidents, students are approached/questioned without parental presence. There have been reports from students that there have been cases (around 1-2 cases) where Teachers have abused students. Past Students have protested about this abuse and are found silenced and suspended/expelled for stirring up such allegations. However, these cases have been handled and Staff have been investigated and Fired, but what is to stop situations like this to happen againFaith Lutheran College is a school that sadly, is still developing due to an agenda made by the Heads for a more Quantity over Quality approached. There is more glamour on the outside then there is on the inside. I cannot give this school any more than a 1 star review. Tell me if I missed something

I spend a lot of my time travelling between and visiting many schools throughout South East Queensland. First impressions are important. On first driving up the driveway of Faith Lutheran College, my first impression was that it presented as a very relaxed and open learning environment. After meeting with some of the Management staff and teachers it was obvious that they were all student focussed. Their strategic plan encompasses innovation in providing a modern approach to education. This is a model that will prove beneficial to our children and their future education. Congratulations Faith Lutheran College - Well Done.
