Polite, helpful staff, prices at gate are much better than advertised

Very noisy all day

According to Planet Ark they take television and computer parts for free. When I arrived on 04/02/2022 they tried to charge me $20 ($10 per television set). This fee is not listed on their website. Based upon my experience, and the other Google reviews, they seem to have an unstructured pricing scheme that is haphazardly applied by their friendly staff.

Not a transfer station, a private business that charges to take your rubbish. Just google proper transfer stations, there are others that do the same thing for free

Over charged me by $100 and are refusing to pay back. Do not go here

If you think three boxes, some wrapping and foam should cost you 55$, then come here.

Had one of our plumbers attend this transfer station yesterday afternoon to dispose of two decommissioned toilet suites plus the carboard boxes in which the two newly installed toilet suites came inn.We were charged a whopping $64.00 for the above mentioned! Completely outraged at this cost, we made contact this morning and spoke with Ryan the attendant whom arranged a call back from the State manager, Scott.Scott called a short time later and we explained our grievance. What transpired next was a slightly bigger shock than the $64.00 slugging received the day before for the two toilets and card board boxes. After 'investigating' the matter and viewing the CCTV footage, Scott went on to explain Kartaway's pricing model and charges and came to the conclusion that what we should have been charged is the standard ute load which is actually a $94.00 charge, so in theory they had now done us a BIG favour by charging the $64.00. What a disgrace! The attendant should have inspected the ute and made a good judgement call on what was actually being disposed off, rather than the vehicle it came in. It would have been cheaper for us to have brought in the two toilets in a car boot rather than a ute. Eastern transfer station in Ringwood charges $215.00 for a TONNE of weight! go figure this mob.Being a plumbing business who operate all over Melbourne, we use a variety of waste transfer stations and tips, this by far has been the most expensive we've encountered. We will never use this business again and will endeavour to let every one we work with know our experience. Total Rip off, not surprised now looking at there 4 reviews. Really disappointing.

Living in Carlton North and having over a tonne of rubble in my trailer to get rid of, this transfer station is God sent. Yes it is not cheap at $110.00 but better than the option of driving around finding a cheaper transfer station or hiring a bin. Plus it's the location. Convenient and easy.
