I’d go back for the calzone alone - the best I’ve had. In my opinion the pizza compares to Julius, Prova and Elementi. The dough is good, a strong thin base not super crispy but well coloured. The crust - enjoyable, chewy and certainly not dry, but not too puffy and not loaded with flavour. The highlight is the toppings. You can taste the quality and freshness in each bite, there is clearly work put into the selection and combination. Intriguing menu options as well.A nice cosy feel, arty pizza oven and very friendly staff.

Decided to try a suburban pizzeria last night and after reading the reviews we thought we would give Pizzeria Violetta a go. After all one review mentioned that this pizza was better than Julius in South Brisbane and another that it was the best pizza in Australia.On the plus side the waitstaff in very friendly and enthusiastic . Its an open kitchen so you can see whats going on.As far as the pizza goes, sorry its well short of the Julius product. It was undercooked and tasted doughy. Perhaps they were having a bad night. The litmus test that i use when reviewing a restaurant is…..would I go back?At this stage i might try a few more suburban pizzerias before i visit again.Should you try it…. Yes why not , yours could be perfectly cooked.

Hands down the best pizza I've had in all of Brisbane. The quality of the food was amazing. Perfectly cooked pizza with an amazing tomato base and burrata. The antipasto platter was delicious, the olives and the focaccia were full of flavour. Everything was perfect, I couldn't fault a single element. Definitely will be back.

Sadly this restaurant is resting on its laurels from when it first opened. The pizzas now are doughy, lacking toppings for the price charged and lacking flavour. Not the true Italian experience it used to be.We visited the restaurant a month ago and thought they must be having a bad night. Tonight we tried takeaway. I phoned , placed my order and was told 1 hours wait, all fine if it’s a good product in the end. I arrived at 55mins was told 5mins wait which was expected .Sadly we were still way down the list. The chef was rushing, stressed and it was obvious not much care was being put into the end product. Slip, slop chaos is all I can say.We finally received our pizzas 1 1/2 later, was so disappointed when I came home to see how they presented, definitely not value for money or quality of what we should have received for the price. Doughy + heavily covered in tomato paste + a few toppings thrown on haphazardly doesn’t cut it sorry for a $28/29 pizza.Really sad as this was a great local restaurant to support, will have to try somewhere different next time.

Topping was scanty. I ordered a Napoletana, they forgot the anchovies and there wasn’t much of anything else, mainly just the tomato sauce. The ham and pineapple apparently no better and Domino’s would be the go to for that. The crust was good.

The best pizza I've ever tried. The dough was super good, fresh ingredients. The restaurant has really nice ambiance, nice music, good service.

Delicious pizza (albeit a little too much on the doughier side than we'd prefer) and great customer service. Outdoor dining on a slant, so it's slightly awkward. Will definitely be returning to try more.
