I have worked FIFO for 17yrs and staying here at the Rose hotel Nebo Rd Mackay is by far the best accommodation I have stayed at, the staff/ Owners are so friendly, inviting and accommodating... comfy rooms and the best dinners I have experienced, enough to take the time to write this review.... if you are travelling or plan on staying in Mackay pls treat yourself at the Rose Hotel...

Well worth staying at Mackay Rose Hotel. Great country hospitality from Lynda and John with nothing too much trouble. The food at the in venue restaurant was spectacular and exceptional value. Convenient location to town and major artillery roads. I strongly recommend staying when in Mackay. Thank you for a wonderful stay.

Hubby and I only had a one night stay. Room was neat and clean with a very comfortable bed and at a great price. The owners are very friendly and go over and above what is required to ensure the happiness of their clientele. The onsite restaurant is basic but the food is magnificent and HUGE and very well-priced. The complimentary continental breakfast is a great way to start your day.

Lovely owners ... rooms a neat , clean and tidy .. exactly what I needed. Parked in front of my room so easy access. Had a fantastic meal in the restaurant with a couple of beers. Will stay here again if I come back this way

Convenient, easy & comfy overnight stay while travelling through Mackay.Comfy bed. Great water pressure in the shower. Air con nice.Pancake machine at breakfast was awesome. Competition to access it though was ferocious! Get in early Shirley!Shamrock Hotel for dinner conveniently located across the road.Thank you Rose for the stay.

Very clean and comfortable and conveniently located close to local shops and transport. A lovely restaurant and bar serving well priced meals and drinks.We had a lovely continental breakfast which is included in the room price.Will definitely be staying here again.

Ended up picking this motel out from having looked at a few others (online) for an overnight stay as we were passing through. Found it to have been a good location on the main road through town. Friendly staff. Enjoyed the free continental breakfast which was provided in the dining room. The rooms were clean and of good sized. Parking was under cover, out the front. The only downfall was that there was only lowvues for windows, no glass or even curtains for more privacy, which I found was a little unusual, plus despite staying in a twin share room (which normally is a double and single, as which was mentioned on website), but was given a room with two double beds which was more obviously a little more in price. Maybe the website could be updated. Overall, nice place.
