This place is a large but relaxing lake with a big dam. You can go fishing and canoeing here!

The dam looks great and the grounds are looking really nice. Unfortunately, there's some picnic tables missing right next to the BBQ and we were disappointed that you can't take your dog in with you even on a leash. Otherwise, it's a nice place to visit and have a picnic.

Worth the drive. Good view of the dammed water. There are cabins that can be booked for overnight accommodation. On the day that we visited, we discovered a temporary water park set up at the northern end of the dam. Plenty of car parking here. A couple of public toilets located here. Fishing allowed. If you visit walk along the dam wall to the end and view the spillway.

Ben Chifley dam is overflowing, everywhere is green and the water looks very inviting. A vast array of bird life inhabite the dam.

If you are in Bathurst and you want to spend time at serene place this is the best place to visit. I went there twice there was no one except me. On the other hand I heard that on weekends and off days this place remains busy.Must select a sunny day.
