Blackman Bicycles

DO NOT SHOP HERE - terrible service and shonky craftsmanship. I was a long term customer (for over a decade) and recently spent almost $400 on a bike service. I decided to try and cycle the bike home. Within 5kms, the (new) pedal fell off the bike (the bike also came back with less gears than when I dropped it off with no explanation). When I took the bike and pedal back to the store, I experienced the most horrible customer service and I found out how rude the elderly man working behind the counter could really be. There were also other issues (like valves not closed on the tyres so they also went flat within a ride).I’ll be shopping elsewhere from now on and encourage you to as well. I was going into to get my right hand shifter hood replaced, and so happened to bump into Mr Blackman on my way in the store, after a little massaging and manipulating he managed to fix the hood for me and gave me some tips for resolving the issue in the future without charging me at all. I will most certainly be going to see him again to give him my business

We gave our bike for repair and servicing and we have been charged for 145 out of which 95 dollars is only for service.The issue we had was a squeaky sound coming when we apply brakes and we told the same when gave the bike for the service, BUT NOTHING IS FIXED, THE SQUEAKY SOUND REMAINED AS IT WAS.When we asked the old man, he was very rude and adamant to listen and said that nothing can be repaired for the cheap bikes and you buy cheap bikes.He said the reason the sound is coming is because it was a cheap bike and he cannot fix anything but they agreed to repair when we gave the bike .He is only interested and pushing us to make the payment when we were asking questions.PLEASE DONT WASTE YOUR TIME AND MONEY …GO SOMEWHERE ELSE

Excellent service. Very helpful and knowledgeable. Got my bike ready in time for a weekend away. Everything perfect with the bike. Great range of accessories. Very happy with the lights that I purchased. I will be back.

There was a problem with the tyre of my kid's bicycle. I went to Blackman Bicycles to check this issue(tyre was coming off) and thought that this couldn't be fixed and had to buy a new bicycle.The support was excellent. He explained that the problem was not with tyre and was with the wheel. As that model didn't come with hooks - it couldn't handle more pressure - it seems.He fixed the issue. As I don't have much knowledge about this, he could have sold me new bicycle but he didn't do it. Instead he solved the issue.Had great experience.

Service was amazing, helped me fix a small issue on the bike really quickly , despite not even selling the bike. Great job on the mechanic.

The old man/owner named Graham is bloody rude. Took in a wheel to fill air. He asked me to leave it as he cannot do it on the spot.It takes 30 sec to fill up an air from the compressor machine.What a rude/arrogant old man.However the other guy was helpful and did on the spot. Charged $10.99 bikes, odd spokes, was lot better. And they dont charge to fill up air on the tyre. Customer service was best comparing to blackman.Even though i have to drive 10 mins more to get to other bike shop, i am happy to do it.

Dropped into this bike store for accessories and was amazed to see that they have everything you could ever need and the guys were very helpful and knew what they were talking about. Will be taking my bike here for servicing and whenever I need anything in future.
