Mai Tai Resort

Very beautiful and nice resort with only a handful of rooms. The view at the breakfast table is amazing. We stayed 3 nights in June 2018 and we thank Anthony & Andre for explaining us a lot about the area and they also gave us tips for our next travel stops. We enjoyed the clean and lovingly furnished rooms. This resort is true insider tip when you are looking for a place to stay near Port Douglas.

We had a fantastic three days relaxing and recharging at Mai Tai. The setting was stunning and only a short drive to Port Douglas and Mossman for activities and meals out. We really enjoyed the ambience and vibe of the whole property and loved being able to cool off in the pool in the afternoons. Andre was a very generous host and chatted with us every day providing useful tips about the local area as well as our plans for travel further north. We loved our stay and we’d definitely recommend the resort to other guests!

Anthony and Andre are THE best hosts. We cannot say enough good things about them: met our every need, want and desire in a professional and friendly manner. Extremely accommodating, informative, helpful, cheeky, funny, superbly genuine kind people, providing excellent service, outstanding breakfast and coffee with interesting conversations to make you feel accepted and comfortable even if you're a little bit more naughty than nice, like us. We had a quiet relaxed experience the entire time. The resort is beautiful, authentic Balinese, with nice and clean rooms with breathtaking views. The units are well equipped and a luxury to everyone (if you complain about this place you have baggage you should have left at home). We never return to the same place twice but Mai Tai Mossman will see us again and again and again. Cannot wait to go back! We would definitely recommend and cannot give enough accolades.

Firstly, follow anything but google maps to get here. The turnoff is very easy to miss.After you drive up a hair raising drive to the main building, you are blown away with a spectacular view of paradise. We were greeted immediately with a warm smile.They gave us fantastic tips of where to go and what to avoid. Having peeked at one of the to avoid places, you should listen to their sound advice.The room was fantastic and well laid out with a very large bathroom/shower. The sliding door allowed views of valley below with a panorama best seen to believe.Waking up to the exotic birds while the sun rose was quite calming.Finally, the breakfast was wonderfully laid out including scrumptious croissants.I cannot wait for my next trip to Port Douglas so that I can stay at the Mai Tai Resort again.

We have had the most relaxing & wonderful three days at Mai Tai Resort. The location & setting is stunning and very central to Port Douglas, Daintree and the Tablelands for sightseeing, activities and just soaking up the wonderful atmosphere of FNQ. We really enjoyed the Balinese design & zen like feeling of the resort and the opportunity to recharge the batteries . Anthony & Andre were the consummate hosts, chatting with us every day over a fantastic breakfast, providing information about the local area as well as having plenty of laughs & friendly banter. We thoroughly enjoyed our stay and would definitely recommend the resort to others who want a very relaxing & enjoyable stay! We would go back in a heartbeat

Luxurious and exceptional quality. Really loved this place and we’re already planning a return trip in September.Andre and Anthony are amazing hosts. Attention to detail and quality that makes the entire experience relaxing, comfortable and welcoming.The entire place is incredibly decorated with unique art from Bali and surrounds which I found really interesting. Our room also had beautiful art and little touches to create a luxurious feel. Loved the outside shower and really comfy bed!The entire property is set in the rainforest - it’s so quiet and peaceful, particularly at night.After just three nights at Mai Tai, we’re recharged and ready for the city again.

Outstanding! Exceeded all of our expectations! Mai Tai Resort is a PERFECT place to relax and enjoy the beauty of Port Douglas. The best of the best service, rooms are beautifully decorated, very clean, cosy and luxurious with great facilities and incredible views! The resort itself and the location are heavens on earth and Andre and Anthony were absolutely amazing hosts! They took care of every detail and were attentive, friendly and just really lovely people who made our stay an unforgettable experience! We would definitely highly recommend and come back!

Andre and Anthony were amazing hosts that provide not only a relaxing setting to get away from everything, but great advice and guidance on how to navigate FNQ. The accommodation was what we were expecting and the hosts ensured that everything we needed was met or exceeded. This is not a high tech resort, but then that's not the aim, it's about relaxing in an amazing setting.

This is such a beautiful place to stay, great views located in the rain forest.Beautiful rooms that are decorated tastefully. The breakfast is served on the veranda which overlooks the valley and hills, we were surrounded by beautiful gardens. Our hosts were just wonderful, and make us feel very relaxed. Just such a beautiful place to stay if you want to relax.

If you ever visit Port Douglas don't miss the Mai Tai Resort. We had a fantastic stay with Andre and Anthony in their beautiful and charming Resort. They created a wonderful place for relaxing, clean and spacious rooms, lovely prepared breakfast and stunning views from all over the resort.
