Fans Horizon lookout

Not really worth the climb. Again the vista is spoiled by ugly tower & building.

This was a very pleasant surprise in the fantastic views that you get if you visit very early in the day. Great to watch the sunrise! It’s a short walk (3.6km return) that goes straight up 200 ish meters or they say 1000 steps (I didn’t count). As most of it has steps, I can see that you can easily navigate this in the dark or dawn. Currently lined by wildflowers which makes the walk up really pretty as well and distracts you from the huffing and puffing up. The views are magnificent! ‘Nuf said.

Nice warm up walk for the longer tracks. Its a tough 30 min walk up but worth it.

Take your time on the 45 min hike, mostly climbing up. Stairs built into path make it easier to navigate. Views are breathtaking, so bring a camera!

Views are gorgeous and well worth all those steep stairs. As with anywhere be careful of snakes. My son had a close encounter with a baby brown on the track. Bring lots of water.
