Armidale Visitor Information Centre

The ladies in the Centre were very helpful. We did the guided tour the following day. Norm the driver and John the guide gave us such a wonderful incite into the heritage of Armidale. It is a very unique tour that should be on top of the list for all visitors to Armidale. Highly recommended.

Staff inside the centre were welcoming and very informative, answering all our questions. We rook the guided bus tour, learning all about the rich history of the area. A definite must do for visitors to the area.

I really want to thank the lady who helped us plan our two days stay in Armidale. Five star service. Her knowledge of the area, the attractions around was very thorough!

Not the best visitor info centre I've been to not the worst either. The fellow who served us had a lot to say we just did not need that information. Could not tell us about times and stops for local bus. Considering Armidale was celebrating the Autumn Festival there was not a lot available about related events.

The Armidale Visitors Centre really is a must! We were warmly greeted by Faye, who has lived in Armidale for a very long time as we found out, and who is a wealth of information in and around the area. The experience was very much like discovering treasure with what we were provided. Not just on what to see but the history as well. We were able to tailor our own touring experience with the information provided and can not thank Faye enough! I heard locally about the council possibly replacing people in the information centre with machines. I hope this never happens. We have had experiences with information machines, they never give you exactly what your looking for, they can't tell you about the treasures you might be interested in but don't know there there, or which way to go to get the maximum visits in areas depending on when they are open. Faye made it a breeze, and we will have to come back as there was far too much to do and see in one day. Thank you again for the experience, education, information, and your warm, friendly nature Faye, you are a gem!

Friendly helpful staff. Explained the different options available and gave relevant brochures. The Heritage bus tour is well worth taking. The driver was very knowledgeable

We were welcomed warmly as we entered the info centre by Patrick who was very helpful. He helped us decide how to best spend our time in Tamworth. We did the Heritage Bus tour of Tamworth and it was 3 hours well spent. Congrats to the volunteers that work there.
