Ardeanal Motel

Stopped over night with 2 small kids, arrived late, room was ready, shower was hot, beds were clean and comfortable, Left early in the morning and had no hassle with payments or checking out, place is perfect for the weary traveller, will stop again next time.

Very tired motel.Where to begin?1. No staff on site, which is fine if every is OK, but hopeless if you need help.2. I have never been to a motel in Australia that does not provide soap! Perhaps no courtesy shampoo etc. but no soap?3. Main room had grubby carpet, old sofa with rips, no door on one cupboard. The fridge included the remains of a previous guest's meal, plus whole and half blocks of their cheese, and 2 of their microwavable meals.4. The bathroom included rotting window frames, and a damaged basin tap spraying water everywhere.5. Beware. No designated parking outside the rooms, you could find yourself some distance away which is not fun for the elderly or families struggling with children.Never again.

Very basic and run down. Small room - no island bed access. No eating area. Tiny bench top. The one star was for the price: cheap!

rooms rundown, mould throughout bathroom, stained carpet, smashed bathroom window letting mosquitoes in, housekeeping was great thought with what they had to work with, beds were cleaned and made daily and room was cleaned to the best they could do. service was average reception not occupied on a weekend or out of hours number was going through, rating 3 millipedes out of 10

The greeting was very friendly and helpful. The room was clean and warm. The beds were warm and comfortable. And the room was quiet. Was recommended where to get the best tea at the Great Northern Hotel. Will stay there again.

I can't comment on the motel because I didn't actually get to stay there. The booking process" for reserving a room with wheelchair access was excruciating. After several weeks of phones not answered

Revised Review: After 4 months of trying, I have had no success in being able to contact the owners for an invoice. I was made to pay over the phone as mentioned below and since then havent been able to contact anyone via email, phone or socials.Cheap and cheerful. This motel doesn't pretend to be more than it is and the price reflects it. The room was spacious and clean and even though the owners were isolating, the were still very helpful over the phone. Furnishings are dated and basic but again, it's what you're paying for. More than comfortable enough for an overnight stay.It's worth noting that it is decent walk to the selection of pubs in the main drag.

Room needs attention. Paint badly scratched off walls and doors. Walls that thin you can hear every word the neighbours said or listen to whatever they were watching on tv. Not enough carparks for the number of units. Jug microwave toaster plates etc supplied but no detergent tea towel?? Would not stay here again . Would prefer to pay a little extra to not have to listen to the neighbours, hope they don't say up too late.
