Animal Emergency Centre - Mt Waverley

The staff displayed an outstanding level of professional service, caring and communication skills. We felt that our dog was in the best possible hands, and unreservedly recommend AEC Mount Waverley to anyone needing their services.

Brought our maremma in, he was in terrible condition which we later found out was AHDS. The vet along with the nurse were very calming and explained the situation clearly to us. The vet was upfront with the costs which was refreshing and we were very informed with the treatments that our dog was receiving. Considering his condition when first admitted we are astounded in how quickly they were able to treat him (32hrs). Overall just a really great experience with this facility and couldn't recommend them enough.

Had a good experience here. The staff were all really good with our dog. They took time to talk through the treatment options so I felt calmer about what was needed for our dog. I am happy with treatment he received and the after-care instructions for home. The prices are reasonable for an overnight service and I'm grateful for this overnight clinic.

Had a really pleasant experience tonight when my dog ate chocolate..the triage nurse assessed quickly and reassured us that he was going to be fine. The dosage was not enough to cause harm. I want to express my sincere gratitude for your efficiency, professionalism and empathy. Life saver for been so close to home.Thankyou again

Don't recommend going to this place unless it's your absolute last resort. I should've waited for my regular vet office to open rather than go here. They charge exorbitant amounts ($$$$) and fail to provide the proper care to your pet, though personally I believe this is because they're understaffed and money-hungry.The vet assured me as I left, after dropping off my pet, that my pet would be getting an IV drip and blood tests done soon because it was an urgent case. When I called them 8 hours later they had only JUST started the IV and done the bloods. They then promised to start my pet on medication which didn't get done till hours later as well.The vets also kept pushing for xrays to be done despite my pet being elderly. I can't believe that they offered this as an option knowing that my pet was as good as dead if they went through with the xray under anaesthesia.When I went to my regular vet they charged me a fraction of what AEC cost me and gave my pet much better care. Stay away from this place if you can!

Wow, what service... over many years with many pets I've somehow managed to avoid emergency centres... but now I won't! From the moment I walked in the door the receptionist made me feel at ease and the first Nurse I met was calm and attentive - first to my poor puppy but also to my concerns.Yes, the costs were a little higher BUT this was outweighed by the professional service and the level of patient care my dog received. I will happily come here now whenever my pet-family needs care.Thank you to the nurse who assisted and to all the team at AEC Mount Waverley. 6 stars out of a possible 5.

Be very careful with these veterinarians. Once I Brought my 5 year old Dog to this place for vomiting. These people tried to scam me woth garbage procedure of having X-rays n giving anaesthetics to check his Bowles. I was amazed how expensive their prices are. If I think they are expensing also told me to go to a place in north melb for $100.00 cheaper. I told them just give the dog medicine as he was not that sick. Ended up paying $400.00 for few tablets n antibiotics. Dog recovered next day. Not sure who can monitor these peoples pricing and ethics.

Amazing when my beloved little man was so unwell. They took great care of him, were so thorough and kept in contact when my regular vet when it came to Monday. Would recommend them over other vet hospitals as they know what they are doing and seem much more knowledgeable. I admire the work they do, it isn't easy seeing such unwell and dying animals and yet they still show so much love, compassion and care. I was scared to bring my pup here after looking at some bad reviews but the reviews were very different to the experience i had. I would and have highly recommended this vet hospital to everyone.

We cannot speak highly enough of the level of care and attention to detail provided in our recent AEC Mt Waverley experience. There is no doubt that the team saved the life our our beloved Airedale Terrier, Angus.Thank you more than we can ever say.
