Charlesworth Bay Beach Resort

The room was spacious and nicely presented with a very private balcony. Plates,cups and utensils were provided along with a basin for washing up after. This was a nice touch as it made it comfortable to 'eat in'.The room included a communal laundry which was also nicely presented.Parking was a little annoying as a dedicated parking space was not provided and the main underground carpark which gave easy room access via lifts was often full.

Dirty. The surrounds were fantastic, plenty of nice pools, parks, play areas, tennis courts etc but the rooms themselves were very dirty. After being stuffed around via multiple rooms we finally settled in. Food scraps on cutlery, floors were absolutely filthy through all 3 rooms with family members. Rarely ever saw any cleaners except in the car park. The whole place and rooms are very outdated and for somewhere with so many stairs I could not believe there wasn't any lifts. I still had a great time but the place in my opinion needs a lot of work.

The Resort was beautiful to drive into, and the staff were very friendly & helpful. Our room had a fairly good view and a stunning sunrise.But, the 1 bed apartment didn't feel clean & needed updating.We couldn't read the controls on the very old microwave..... They had corroded off, so I had to guess at it.The air-conditioned vents (leveled at the bed) were dirty & would need scraping to get clean (couldn't risk inhaling), and the jetted tubs and drain were the same..... not cleaned for a very long time. My fear was that if we turned it on, all that dirt would mix with the water.I ordered takeaway from the restaurant & they shorted us the salads..... I was too tired to walk back down and ask for them.So a mixed stay in a beautiful location.

The Resort itself is Beautiful and the grounds are well looked after our room was a different story! We paid $260 for one night, the room is very dated it felt damp and smelt old and dusty. We didn’t even want to sit on the couch because it had stained a all over it, it felt like it had never been cleaned the cushions were all stained the bathroom window was covered in cobwebs with spiders and the blinds had mould and dust all over them. It’s such a shame that this was our room as the reception was nice and the ladies were lovely.

Beautiful resort that is in process of renovating some rooms. I asked for an ambulant disability room and got one with a wide shower and toilet room but no grab rails and extremely slippery floors. Apart from this, the apartment was wonderful, much better than expected, especially the well equipped kitchen.

Beautiful resort, the grounds and amenities are simply beautiful, with the grounds perfectly manicured. Rooms are nice with an amazing outlook but could do with a refresh to bring them up to the same level as the grounds. Beautiful food at the onsite restaurant and fabulous pools. All round a pleasure to stay and a great spot to get away to.

Stayed here for four nights recently. The resort and grounds are lovely. The room we were in was a little dated but it was clean, the bed was comfy and the shower hot! We also had a nice view over the 1st hole if the golf course which was nice. We had a very enjoyable stay here, the staff were friendly and attentive. We felt we got our money worth and plan on coming back.

Where do I even start.. this is hands down the grossest hotel i’ve ever been to. I feel so traumatised, i still feel shivers while writing this. The room was so filthy, smelly and dated. Aircons were so dusty, the bathroom was so gross. Bottle cap under the couch, someone’s smelly underwear inside the washing machine (yuck!) We had to leave the night before because we couldn’t stand sleeping another night in a gross room. We just felt going home and have a shower because we just felt so dirty and itchy in that place. I felt disgusted letting my kids crawl on the floor. We booked the one with the kitchen because we liked cooking but I couldn’t bring myself to use their stuff given their poor cleaning standards. Even the pool was so dirty.I should have read the reviews before booking. Oh well.
