Maiala Park Lodge

This place was the best!! 8 of us went up to spend a weekend for my birthday and it was so much fun. The rooms are beautiful and so well thought out. Lucy and Joe are lovely and made us feel super welcome! We spent hours playing tennis, swimming in the pool (which is huge) and enjoying the beautiful living spaces. You can wander up the mountain to a cafe or supplement your caffeine intake with the amazing coffee machine at the house! We honestly just had so much fun. Thank you Lucy and Joe for having us and for letting us feel like kids again, we have agreed we need to make the trip annual.

We absolutely adored our stay in the Bower Bird Cottage to celebrate our 2 year anniversary. Lucy and Joeban provide a welcoming precense and a considerate approach to care for their guests. Thank you for being great.

My husband and I stayed here last weekend for our anniversary. We were after a relaxing, romantic weekend and Maiala Park Lodge couldn’t have been more perfect! We stayed in the echidna suite which is very stylishly decorated in calming earthy tones, has a queen bed, and a well sized ensuite. The room is at the end of the house so there’s more privacy with no one walking past. We had all the amenities we could need, with a tv, air conditioner, ceiling fan, wifi, coffee machine, tea and coffee in the room, and access to the full kitchen in the common areas. The house is so beautiful too, and guests have access to the kitchen, lounge, and dining room as well as the deck. We really enjoyed lazing on the deck with the incredible views and birds surrounding us. Our hosts were so friendly and welcoming, and Jo especially is very good conversation. We had a perfect weekend and we can’t wait to return!

We loved our stay - we utilized the space for a book study / retreat for a small group of women.The grounds, rooms and facilities were perfect for our getaway to unwind, be intentional with our practice and connect in an intimate setting.

What a wonderful and relaxing break a dear friend and I enjoyed at Maiala Park Lodge. We loved our rooms, the accommodation was luxurious, with the most divine views to Brisbane city. I loved the tea and coffee facilities and the home made cookies were an absolute treat! There’s also a massive swimming pool to enjoy. I would highly recommend this beautiful venue for a getaway for people from Brisbane or further afield. Mount Glorious, Samford and surround’s have so much to offer with plenty of adventures to be had! Thank you so much to hosts Lucy, Joe and Ava! We will be back!

A beautiful and welcoming place to stay, in an equally beautiful location. Very restful and comfortable, and although it is distant from things like shops and restaurants, that adds to the attraction! Lots of local bushwalking in very scenic area. Every possible convenience available, with big living and cooking areas for guest use.

Maiala is beautifully presented! A real home away from home.amazing location for hiking the falls and creek swimming.Surrounded by the sound of nature!Joe was so welcoming and there for any needs you might have. Plus a happy doggo was readily available for many pats.The welcome note and AMAZING cookies were well appreciated.Would recommend to anyone.

Lovely place with amazing views towards Brisbane. The rooms themselves are also lovely with every detail though of such a welcoming handwritten note and handmade biscuits. The hosts Joe and Lucy were very helpful and do their best to make you feel at home.

Thank you Lucy, Joe and Ava for making our stay over the last few nights so enjoyable. We all loved the little touches like personal Welcome notes and the delicious homemade biscuits in our rooms. The beds were luxurious and the rooms very comfortable. We also enjoyed being able to prepare our meals in your kitchen and then sit around a cosy fire with a drink in hand. Many thanks Heather

This is a beautiful guest house, with warm and welcoming hosts, who have thought of every comfort their guests may desire. I thoroughly enjoyed my stay and enjoyed waking up to the kookaburras, parrots, and Willow the dog. Recommended for solo travellers and couples seeking peace and quiet only 40 minutes north of Brisbane.
