Sensational old pub in little friendly town. Well worth the visit. Stayed out back. Must do the sunset mt Slocombe tour. Great food and drinks.

We travelled a long way, with high expectations, specifically to stay in Yaraka. The camping area is 5 star, absolutely excellent. No regrets. The hotel however, left us with mixed feelings, probably because we both had a headache after going on their free 'sunset tour'. The landscape and informative commentary from the driver on the way were excellant. However, his political commentary and views, expressed for an hour after sunset, were not enjoyable. Say 'no thank you' to the free tour, and drive up to the lookout yourself. You'll then think the hotel is great then and give them 5 stars. Just watch out for the roos when driving back. The hotel atmosphere is more homely than 'outback' pub. The food was OK. The outdoors areas are very welcoming.

Great people, great service, great Friday night Pizza and a special treat was the ride up Mt Slowcombe for the sunset. Thank you. And there is a good display of railway memorabilia in the old well kept station.

Had the most memorable stay. Loved every minute of our time in this amazing place. Accomodation is basic but very clean and comfortable. Owners go above and beyond and really make you feel incredibly welcomed. From the moment we arrived we were greeted by name, dinner was cooked just for us, locals were friendly and chatty, breakfast was supplied (continental) and we even got to feed the emus. Stop by for the amazing sunrise or sunset at the local lookout. We will be back again and again.

Bar staff were very rude, yelling at me when i walked in to the room (after using the bathroom) during a speech at a birthday party for no reason at all. Meals were very small, owners unfriendly. Definitely not recommending to anyone.

Basic pub grub but good eating. Wonderful friendly hosts Chris and Gerry. Camp out the back for $5pn with power and water available or book a room, tea and coffee in the hotel lounge where you can wile away the day if you wish. Great free sunset tour (donate to the RFDS) .......really? What more can you want

Great people, nice pub, good food, excellent camping facilities. Town has made an effort with a small museum at the railway station and info boards around town. Loved getting close and personnel with the 2 emus, Kevin & Carol.
