Suzanne is an awesome host. Goes well above and beyond to make your stay pleasant.We had some issues because of which we had to change our plan and dates , she was very helpful and supportive.Awesome place to stay , has everything with beautiful views. We were lucky enough to escape to Playshack 2 just before yet another Victorian coronovirus lockdown. Wow! A beautiful setting. We stayed with our four young children, and although there was some snow on Buller, we ended up spending days at the property, enjoying the surrounds and amenities.The property is amazing, the river is beautiful, and the children spent hours playing outside even in the winter weather! We planned to stay here for a winter getaway, but are looking forward to coming back to enjoy the gardens in the warmer weather.There are comfortable beds, lovely bathrooms, and spaces abound to enjoy the amazing views! On our last morning we enjoyed watching twelve deer cross the river. The friendly wildlife also included kookaburras, beautiful parrots and kangaroos.Suzanne was extremely helpful and made time to answer our questions, changing our booking where possible to extend our stay. Suited to families and also group getaways. So very highly recommended!

What an amazing place. Kangaroos at breakfast on the lawn the running river a delight to have a wine by in the late afternoon. The event we were invited to was held in front of the main house. we stayed in the smaller house play shack 2 ...a short stroll to the main house. loved the bedroom and linen , luxurious bathroom and kitchen perfect for our family of 5, so beautifully styled .Everything was perfect so warm and cosy and comfortable as well as private from the main house. What an incredible spot to hold the 50th we were at .Had the most luxurious dinner along the river and the main house was large enough to share a couple of families and so luxurious ...can't wait to come and stay again. A must to share with several families. Great walking tracks and so close to town and Mt Bulla ...just magical !!!!!thank you Sue and Chris you have done an amazing job on the accomodation great hospitality and service !!!!!

We stayed at Playshacks 2+4 for one week in spring and it was the most magical place to celebrate a big occasion. The property is absolutely beautiful with the river running through it and so well set up and equipped inside that it can be enjoyed in any type of weather. Suzanne was also very accommodating in letting us arrange staying longer. Will def be back, thank you!

We had a group of 19 staying at Play Shack 2 and 4. Although the location and the place is great, the place comes with draconian style rules and regulations. If you are choosing this property, please make sure to read every word in terms and conditions and be ok with them because she will act exactly according to that if something little were to go wrong. Everywhere in the house, there are reminders about how much would be charged if anything to go wrong. If you are cool with such strict rules and regulations this maybe a property for you.While playing pool in the game room, one of our older girls touched ceiling with the pool stick leaving a mark less than 1CM. She didn't hesitate to charge $250 for it. It took so many reminders for her to refund the balance. (She did this as per her rules and regulations)It is rather unfortunate that such a lovely property comes with such an inflexible and a ruthless owner.

We had the most Amazing Little Get Away at Play Shack 2, For us Adults the place is so Luxurious, cosy, warm and welcoming, with river views, a beautiful fire place and the grass soo green and perfect you could walk barefoot in it! The kids absolutely had the best time ever, enjoying the whole property, including the games room upstairs, feeding the birds at your doorstep, a trampoline and playground to keep them entertained all day long for the entire stay! We will definitely be back again, Highly Recommend to others, Suzanne is so lovely and helpful with your accomodation booking, Thank you again :)

What an absolutely stunning property. Perfectly located on the banks of the Delatite River with superb views, tasteful furnishings and decor and beautiful architecturally designed homes. I was lucky enough to celebrate my 60th birthday here during winter with family and friends. There is everything you could possibly need including pool table in the upstairs games room with a view over the river to die for. The master suite is just stunning and it’s en-suite adorned with a freestanding bath. The house is warm and cosy and the wood fire adds to the ambience. Had some lovely walks along the river but was just as happy to curl up on the couch and look out upon the river and gardens. What a magic spot. I can imagine it being as stunning in the summer. Suzanne was a wonderful host who made our stay so special. Thanks Suzanne for sharing your piece of paradise with us.

Amazing owner, great overall experience staying with parents who booked a few months ago. Highly recommend for anyone wanting to visit. It represents what every family-run small business should aspire to.

We held a craft retreat for 16 at the incredible Play Shack 2 and had the most incredible time. The place was such a gloriously comfortable mix of log cabin and supercool modern with plenty of areas for our group to kick back and enjoy. We run craft classes in inner city Melbourne and wanted to organise something special after receiving requests for a weekend away to relax and enjoy together as a class.Everyone loved the immense space and variety of areas to enjoy - the deck overlooking the river, gorgeous squishy grass to lie on and watch clouds roll by, lounge room complete with cute little flying ducks and that awesome upstairs with floor to ceiling glass, looking out on the garden all lit up at night.Sitting by the river, feet dangling in the cool water with a glass of bubbles was just the best and we absolutely can't wait to get back. The peace and quiet was almost overwhelming, the vastness of the gardens very luxurious and mornings with little kangaroos was so much fun! It certainly made for a difficult return to city life and we are already dreaming of our next retreat.Cannot recommend it enough and I see us returning year after year as it is so perfect. Thank you to Suzanne for looking after us so well and helping with our booking, you made it easy and your passion for your guests is very special.

Suzanne was a wonderful host. No request was too difficult to accomodate and she was fantastic with tips and suggestions for other attractions in the area. Play shack 2 was extremely clean and beautifully detailed. Everything we needed was supplied including a bountiful allowance of dry timber for the log fire. The river was amazing and the setting was unforgettable. We will be back again as soon as we can. Thanks again!
