Piling on weight after getting married, I managed to lose some of it myself but remained medically ’overweight’. I was frustrated with myself because I knew I was sabotaging my efforts at losing the last few kilos and didn’t know why. I did Karla’s 4 week coaching and had a few ‘ah ha!’ moments during our phone calls. I needed someone to guide me to a place of feeling in control and that’s what Karla did. I’m so excited to continue with these new habits/thoughts/techniques that take the emotion out of eating and make me feel confident in my choices.

In mid January I completed Karla's 7-Week e-course on health and well being. I had no specific expectations at the start of the course, but had read the information on her website and decided it was worth a try. As it turned out, this was the BEST step forward in taking control of my overall health and wellness. In the seven week course, I was provided with up to date information that helped me address food and nutrition choices, exercise choices, habitual thinking and keeping well in the current tide of information overload. I was provided with relevant and thought provoking information that empowered me to make my own choices about my health. At no time did I feel that the information was prescriptive, rather it enabled me to sort fact from fiction to make the best choices for me personally. By simply making informed choices about my nutrition, health and exercise, I lost 17 kilograms without feeling hungry or deprived. Thirty-two weeks on, and still 17 kilograms lighter, I am leading a healthy, sustainable lifestyle that does not include dieting in any way. For the first time in my life, I don't think of food as my enemy; for the first time in my life, I am eating in a way that nourishes my body and I'm exercising for enjoyment and fun....not to try to melt away the kilograms. Going from a squeezy Size 16 to a comfortable Size 10-12 has been an amazing journey of learning, understanding and implementing. Thankyou Karla Gilbert - your e-course was better than ANY book I've ever read on the topic of health and better than any diet I've ever embarked upon. Karla's approach is sensible, authentic, up-to-date and sustainable and I would recommend it to anyone wishing to improve their overall health.
