Solar choice was a great start to my journey to learn more about solar installations. A representative of the first recommended company contacted me in the first hour. The second company within the first day, and the third company with 2 days. In speaking to all three companies I learnt a lot about solar and the different product offerings. Used the on line calculator from Solar Choice to check my solar performance and whether adding a battery was worth the expense. Calculator gave a good correlation on my 6.6kw PV solar performance and cost saving. Also confirmed my own assessment that batteries are not cost competitive at this point in time with payback way beyond the expected life.

I was able to find a solar local provider that has a good reputation and has been around for a long time. However one of the recommended providers gave quotes using inferior products and tried all the high pressure tricks, buy now because the rebates are going to reduce and a $250 discount if you pay a deposit now.

I contacted Matt from Solar Choice in 2022 and after reviewing suggested installers we chose Stephen at Climate Change Solutions for our additional panels and battery system. Everything went well with the install however the battery failed to work because of a faulty circuit breaker component. This was taken out of Stephens hands as Sungrow insisted it be a warranty claim which delayed commissioning by a couple of weeks. I was surprised by Sungrow's decision as I would have thought something that was new and unused would just be replaced. Sungrow you need to lift your game. In all I’m quite happy with the finished product and have no hesitation in recommending Stephen and his crew. Regards Mike

System works well however given the number of supplier / installers there are in the market (each saying that the panels, inverters etc) they use are the best, its still a daunting and very time consuming exercise to trawl through the mass of information necessary to arrive at an informed position.Good luck to all those trying to work out the best option for their home . . .
