Terrigal Vets have been my vet practice for 14 years. My dogs have all been very well looked after. It’s a very welcoming friendly practice and I find the vets to be exceptional at sharing info and good advice on managing my pets. I genuinely would recommend Simon , Scott , Anthony and the team to anyone needing a good veterinary service in Terrigal and It’s surrounds. There is plenty of parking and it is following CoVid 19 procedures.

Up until now I’ve had good experiences at terrigal vets. Unfortunately this time however, I was very dissatisfied and disappointed. I took my French bull dog for a consultation on Saturday as i suspected he had a sinus infection. Even though the vet had his file which specified that he’s already had the surgery for his breathing ( as a pup) she stressed the urgency for him to have surgery immediately as he could hardly breathe. I thought this was odd as at every other consultation, over the past year, I’ve been told his breathing is ok for a Frenchie. As recommended , I booked him in for surgery 3 days later and of course worried about his health and well-being for that time.On the morning of surgery, after he was examined under anaesthetist, (he was under for 5 mins) I was contacted and advised that the surgery could not continue as “ he’d already had the surgery before”. This was insane as not only was this on his file but I verbally told the vet at the time of booking his surgery. This procedure , in my opinion was a complete waste of time and was unnecessary. It also caused me a great deal of anxiety. Over the phone the vet who was going to perform the surgery , advised me that there wouldn’t be any charges. This turned out to not be true and when I turned up to collect my dog he charged me 200 dollars. Whether they was for bloods or anaesthetic , I’m not sure. I believe it’s irrelevant and I explained to him that it was their error and not mine. They insisted on surgery, not me. I was merely there for some antibiotics for a sinus infection, which in the end , was all it was. If I’d been told that there was a chance that surgery was unnecessary or wouldn’t make a significant difference , i wouldn’t have agreed to it. I’m sure it’s slightly more complicated than my side of the story however, at the end of the day , I had to pay for something that was unnecessary even though I was told there would be no charge due to this error.I have since reviewed other vets and I will be sending my beloved dog there and will never return to terrigal vets. No apology was ever made nor a reconciliation of the fees.

We have only recently started using Terrigal Vet for our new family pet and the reception staff are friendly and were quick to get us booked in for a concerning moment for our pup yesterday. Sammy the vet is lovely. She is knowledgeable and caring. The premises is really clean and our pup was happy considering the circumstances. I thought the bill was high for the test we had done, however, I believe that all vets would charge similar rates, so this is just a side comment as I haven't arranged pet insurance yet. Highly recommend

We moved to the Central Coast last June with our Labradoodle Jasper, unfortunately he had been experiencing shoulder pain and we took him to Terrigal Vet for a consultation. From start to finish the service from all of the staff was excellent. They were very caring and kind and always put Jasper at ease, which made us feel that he was in good hands. In the past he has been very anxious about going to the Vet but this one he runs in.We would also like to say a BIG thank you to Dan Wills. Jasper had to have an operation on his shoulder, Dan was absolutely amazing and we would highly recommend him if anytime in the future your pet has to have an operation (hopefully not).Thank you to all the staff, from Kate, David and JasperDan Wills

We have had such lovely experiences with Terrigal vet. We moved up from Sydney and wanted to find a vet we would connect with over the upcoming years, especially for our brand new pup as our dogs are very much members of the family. It is such a homely vibe and the staff really care, we were able to get post op care and appointments for our dogs and the staff truely went above and beyond! Highly recommend! Mitsy and Rylee are certainly in great hands in their new home on the coast!

I contacted Terrigal veterinarian as my dog had an eye infection when I called the receptionist was professional and caring she found me an appointment for the following day. Sami saw to Cruz and was so genuinely lovely with him. He was quite comfortable by the end he was happy to have a little explore around the place. Usually he would head straight for the door. I will definitely be using this vet in the future
