Timo and Neil, have really outdone themselves. Amazing experience, delightful cocktails with intriguing complexity and wonderful spices. Each delicately presented share plate continued to impressed, with generous helpings, great textures and flavours.A must visit in Hervey Bay, a memory that will define your trip.

Incredible food with wonderful staff! I just had some dinner when I went but the cocktails looked amazing so would be a great place for dinner and drinks also!Did I mention the food was amazing? 10/10 would recommend.

I have been in the hospitality industry for 30yrs, cooked with some impressive credentialed international chefs and establishments, early on as an apprentice I entered Salon culinary live cooking competitions, magic boxes and front of house but in all my experiences have I never ever been treated so well as I was last night as I celebrated my wedding anniversary with my wife, attention to detail does not begin to explain what happens at Soma, it is truely an experience worth paying for without the food, cocktails or wine. I will not bore you all with a long and extensive description of the culinary delights and sophisticated wine choices, you just have to…. You must experience it for yourself. Hats off to you Timo, Neil and your team, who all could be mistaken as co owners by the way they work. Our experience was one not of over bearing service or one of lack of care and attention it was how one would describe one of their cocktails a perfect balance and a pleasure to watch. We will be back, why would I waste my hard earned money on regular avg dining when I can have the experience I had last night. Order the “Feed me” and let Timo match the wine, and just relax and enjoy/spoil yourself. Next review , I will describe the food and wine. From an appreciative lover of food and beverages.

Excellent single malt whisky selection in Hervey Bay. In particular Scottish whisky from Speyside and Islay to Orkney. This place is punching well above its weight. The staff are superb, greeting and managing every patron with finesse. We ordered entree food whilst seated at the bar and it was excellent! This place is very easy to miss whilst in Hervey Bay , after living here for a month we didn’t know it’s existed until we were given a tip by a local kiwi who worked in the health food store and boy we luved it, we will return.

Absolutely lovely new cocktail bar with a creative menu for both food and drinks. We had two cocktails and couldn’t resist getting two more, highly recommend the bourbon and yuzu vermouth one. Staff were lovely, atmosphere very cool and intimate. Can’t miss when in Hervey Bay!

Looking for a place to feel yummy inside and out? Soma is the place. The moment you step foot in the door you’re welcomed with humbled greetings. Cocktails are carefully curated and tickles all those tastebuds. The wine list continues on the tastebuds roller coaster, carefully picked and insightful. The food, where do I begin? Personal, homely, and overall ‘deliciousness in the mouth’. Each bite will take you on a journey of flavours, making you feel gooey and warm. Both Neil & Timo’s knowledge, skills and passion are heavily broadcasted through Soma. Hats off to you both!

An exceptional experience all round. Enjoyed a popular cocktail which exceeded expectations. Red wine was also impressive. My food favourite was the potato rosti with salmon roe on top. Great music and ambiance. Great team, exceptionally talented and suited to their roles. Hervey Bay’s must visit venue.

Absolutely fantastic in every aspect. Neil, Timo and the team are dedicated to providing a wonderful evening out. The cocktails are sophisticated and fun and the food is innovative and delicious. Serious inner city vibe deftly combined with a tropical flair. Looking forward to returning soon.
