Green Hill Lake Reserve
Third time camping here and this time was great as we didn't stay in the main area with the crowd and the lake was full of water. We got a spot right on the water and was hardly any mozzies which was a nice change as they have been bad in many areas this trip. We caught a heap of yabbies and made a creamy garlic yabbies pasta. So good. Toilets and shower need a bit of lovin but we have our own so didn't bother us so 5 star for me. Very large area so lots of room and bins everywhere and no rubbish around. Well done Ararat council as no bins means rubbish dumped.

Stopped for an overnight stay. It is a huge area and although it was crowded, it was well laid out

This place is awesome, free hot showers & flushing toilet right on a beautiful lake.Australia should have more free spots like this

Green Hill Lake Reserve
Great place for a quick getaway.Was fairly full for the Easter weekend, but there were still plenty of great spots to pitch the tent.The lake is full at the moment, 5min drive to Ararat if you need to restock suppliesThe amenities are basic with showers and are kept clean by a group of volunteers which great, also a coffee van is there that caffeine, tea or hot chocolate fix 1st thing in the morning.

Green Hill Lake Reserve
Lovely spot near the lake, though the spaces anywhere near the bathrooms (clean and neat) were like Bourke Street. Great for dogs, kids, swimmable parts plus a boat ramp. Plenty of bins, so please pick up after yourself! One caution: many people drove too fast around the site, lots of dust.

Green Hill Lake Reserve
This still has to be 1 of our popular stay sites. Even after rain, this has grassy areas to ensure that you don't get bogged. Plenty of areas to choose from. Has fresh water and dump site.

For a free campsite it was excellent. Hot showers, well maintained two boatramps, fire pits. I couldn't believe it was free. 10/10
