Costi’s Westpoint Blacktown

This was my go to seafood shop but gone downhill recently..such a shame as i like to support the small business owner's.In response to Costi comments; bought seafood on Christmas Eve and also recently. Spent over 150 bucks Christmas Eve and recently only a few items. Everything was not best quality compared to previous years. Had to cook fresh oysters from Christmas shop but chucked everything eise out. We also used to buy cooked fish and chips weekly but last few times were not the best, this is why i gave average 3 star rating

I have been going to this place, infrequently, for years and historically you could buy a range of cooked fish and the quality was good. I now find that you can only buy a limited range of cooked fish, being what they want to sell you rather than what you want to buy. On the day I went there they only offered three alternatives and I chose what they said was Pacific Dory as a nice looking(i checked what the fresh fish looked like) quite economical option. I was quite please with the first piece of fish I tried. The flesh was bright white, firm and tasty. The second piece I tried was a dull creamy yellow colour, with sloppy texture and bore no resemblance to the first piece. It was most unattractive and I didn't eat it. Whether this was a mistake or deliberate, I have no idea, but can form my own conclusion.

Delicious fish and chips today, friendly staff.Definitely will visit again.

I went on Friday and bought 2 barramundi fish, we found not clean at all we had to clean it and when we were cleaning it the fish meat left the skin. We couldn't cook it because we have to fried it, we had to throw it in the bin.We went second day the manger wasn't there I left my number but no one called me, then we went today because we don't have receipt they said no we can't refund, we told them check camera, the lady told me I can't see you u came on Friday abd I don't think u came here, I told her already who served me and the time still saying no. I will respect them if they say we can't refund because u don't have a receipt instead saying u didn't come.If there is 0 start I could put for you

The fish there has always been fresh, also the customer service been amazing. They value customer time, and are very quick in serving each customer!

Don't put up a sign saying your open if your not going to be open. We had elderly relatives stay in Sydney an extra day solely to be able to take some seafood home only to take the trip to find your store closed and the sign clearly stating you should be open. May not seem a big deal but it really put them out as they struggle to get around as it is.

I purchased over $50 worth of flathead fillets on Saturday afternoon. There was only one person serving although there were other staff members working". When I got the fish home and went to cook it

Best Fish & Chips in Blacktown! The fish is super fresh and the batter is crispy and flakey and melts in your mouth. The chips are delicious and you get a fresh salad a can of drink plus complimentary tartar sauce and tomato sauce for $11.90. Winner!!

Good spread but pricey. The mud crabs cost the earth and ensure you check yr goodies before leaving to ensure they were cleaned properly. Service is friendly.
