FOREVER DANCE

The teachers at Forever Dance are passionate about dancing, and their enthusiasm to teach is evident when you are being taught by them.I joined during the COVID lockdown when all lessons were online. My wonderful teacher, Tony, coached me through private lessons. I did Group Classes with the lovely Jena, and then Yoga and Pilates with the awesome Suzanne. We even had online Trivia Nights once a month! Even during the online-only phase I felt really welcomed into the family.We are now back in the studio and the FD Family are such a joy to be around. All the teachers are supportive and offer their encouragement to motivate me. I have taken the online-only learnings with technique and have applied them to my dancing with Tony. I feel I am getting better every time I dance and I can feel the improvement as the weeks progress.It is great being a part of such a wonderful dance community who are passionate about their art.

The COVID19 pandemic could have had the Forever Dance Studio and Staff hunkering down, rocking in the corner. But instead, they embraced the virtual lifestyle and soon had Zoom lessons up and running.The group sessions have been great. A chance for students to focus on technique, movement, and body alignment and to connect with one another. Jena and Suzanne have been fantastic. Planning their classes to really help students get the most out of each session.The private sessions have also highlighted some interesting quirks of my dancing that may have been overlooked in the bright lights of the studio.Well done all during challenging times.

Forever Dance is 110% Fantastic. Thanks to their amazing teachers, especially my teacher Tony, Dance will not stop through these hard times. No matter the situation they show encouragement and professionalism for the passion of Dance. As we can not be in the studio during this crazy times their virtual private session and group session have kept me and others moving. Having relocated to Melbourne, I initially decided to try out Forever Dance purely because the studio was so easily accessible. Coming back to dancing after a long hiatus was daunting but my teacher Lloyd set me at ease very quickly and has since employed a teaching style that is tailored to my learning needs and personality! The flexibility to schedule lessons around work and other commitments has also been instrumental in allowing me to continue learning even during particularly busy seasons.The depth and breadth of experience among the teaching staff here is nothing short of impressive. This coupled with their genuine desire to share their expertise and the personalized attention given to help you become the best dancer you can be, makes for quite an exceptional experience. The environment is supremely professional while being friendly and fun, and you soon realize that you are part of caring and supportive community. So no matter where you fall within the spectrum of people looking for a fun social activity to more serious dancers looking to develop further, Forever Dance is definitely where you want to find yourself!

Have been dancing at this studio since Feb 2004. Dancing for me is a journey and a great social outlet. Forever Dance has a great dance community and most of us become friends throughout the dance journey. I am not a born dancer and have no dance background. Plus I started out late in my 40s. Dancing as a hobby is not cheap but is healthy for both mind and body. Forever Dance has great teachers. George is great in teaching you how to dance better and more efficiently using your body mechanics. I am now in my 60s and still dancing. I will never be a good competitive dancer but definitely a good social dancer. It is a never ending cycle of learning but enjoying the journey is the key to learning even though there are days of frustration. I always recommend this studio to everyone who wants to dance.

My partner and I had a truly excellent experience preparing a first dance for our wedding with Lloyd. We were total beginners, but after 5 lessons he had us smashing out a salsa with both a dip and a death drop! He was also amazing at cutting our song so it was the perfect length for the night. If you love dancing or are wanting to learn, looking for a new hobby or hoping to make new friends Forever Dance is the place to go. Professional and welcoming teachers and great community. Frequent and fun social events as well as opportunities to challenge yourself (if you wish so). All levels from absolute beginners to experienced are welcome and you don’t need to bring a partner. We have students of various age groups and with various experience. If dancing makes you happy, you will fit right in! One of the biggest things I miss while social distancing during the Covid-19 is time spent at Forever Dance learning with my teacher George and dancing at group classes or social events. Luckily the studio now has online classes for us to continue our dancing journey. A bit different than dancing with a partner, but a great opportunity to understand technique and fine tune our skills. It is a credit to our teachers that they are able to make the lessons valuable even when delivering them via Zoom. Can’t wait to get back to the studio again to see everyone and put the new skills to practice. Warning - Forever Dance is highly addictive!

Sadly it has come under new management which has destroyed what once was a great studio. After having danced there for 10 years with the same teacher - all of a sudden teacher after teacher started leaving. Having been bounced from one teacher to the next they didn’t even bother to tell me when the third one left.Having decided enough was enough - I contacted the studio to ask for a refund - they declined insisting I take up yet another teacher.Sadly, the new management clearly doesn’t understand that you have to treat your clients and your employees respectively if you want to maintain high standards. Such a shame.Good bye Forever Dance … sadly I don’t think you will be Forever.
