You guys are terrific - I am glad we have a governing body like RTA that can provide factual information for us and help sort out the communication process between tenants and lessors.

I am living in inhumane conditions. Back mould making me sick, two dogs dead from lung disease. Deadly snakes in and around house. Termite damage throughout, I have fallen through back deck. I have no security, can't lock premises. Rotting walls, unusable kitchen. All reported to a millionaire landlord who refuses to repair anything. The RTA will do nothing to help me at all

As both a landlord and tenant at various times over the last 20 years I've had to deal with RTA on rare occassions when issues or disputes arose. I always found them exceptionally helpful and professional. So much so that they are one of VERY FEW public institutions who give me faith in the public service. They do what they do very well and I'm grateful. Thank you.

They are professionals, much better than the Tenants Union. Unfortunately the rules and laws are all weighted in favour of the Landlord and Agents. Even with recent changes. It hasn't really changed anything for the better. It's a bit of a joke, and the joke is on the tenants who get no real benefit from the changes.Staff at RTA do their best with the situation though generally.Fairer changes need to be made to the legislation in order to properly protect Tenants.*For example, giving decent tenants a notice to leave for no reason" just because the lease is up

Reading all these comments it's evident the vast majority are entirely self focused. Of course there are going to be times you dont like to hear you are not going to get your own way or you dont like the law pertaining to your situation.As a professional of many years, the last 11 mainly in property management, I have always found the RTA to be knowedgeable, helpful, courteous and fair. What more can you ask? They are trying to balance the needs of parties whose view will always be different.

I've been on hold today Tuesday since 9am.. every hour the RTA answer that tells me where I am in the queue hangs me up and it's now 1pm and still not gotten through.

Always been very professional, understanding and attentive in my 12 years I have ever made contact (once 12 years ago and a few times this year). I'd rather contact RTA for anything on property matters (if it comes to that) than consider anything else. Am aware QLD has QStars since RTA let me know of that free resource too.Thanks for lending an ear, especially during such a difficult time on the property frontier in the world right now.

The online emailing system is garbage take some months to get a response at a time, but I went into the headquarters store in Brisbane City within 20 minutes of being inside. Was walking out with every problem fixed fantastic the front desk man called Craig was extremely helpful and easy to understand.
